“There Is No Apolitical Classroom”. The culture war could be headed for public schools—whether parents like it or not.

That is a tall order. Much better to teach them at home and dispense with public day prisons altogether. You spend just as much time if you conscientiously deprogram your children every day as you would just teaching them at home and the results ares till iffy no matter how much truth you try to counter the school propaganda with.

I have been pounding this drum here for twenty years. Back when- most freepers who responded were incensed and insulted that I suggested that their kids were not going to the very best schools or would miss “socialization” if they didn’t attend. Socialization. Right. I have known whereof I spoke because my wife was a school teacher for 35 years in a state noted for its political backwardness. It was bad from the beginning. She was able to actually teach beca;use she was a spec ed teacher and as such was pretty much ignored by the administration. Her “learning disabled” unteachables were learning how to read and cipher while regular kids were puzzling out look-say hierogliyphics.

We were a two earner family and managed to homeschool ours.

I predict citizens will get nowhere with their “pushing back”. Schools have been in leftist indoctrination mode for a generation and they aren’t changing.

_________________________________________________-

My child graduated HS in 1983. We had books; we had no TV; we had constant political discussion and we were evolving conservatives thruout, meaning we actually had *street cred* and knew what was happening.

Didn’t matter. The culture won. I won’t detail anything, because it is too painful. But this is true: there is no pushback. This is conquered territory run by totalitarians.

I think parents today need to re-evaluate *two incomes*. Do you need two incomes to live in a *good* school district that will corrupt your children and, by extension, your grandchildren? Two salaries to pay the taxes that allow this travesty of education to persist? Two salaries because you live in an upscale suburb or exurb and want you child to go to apparatchik training at an *Ivy* college?

How great are the restaurants in this era of government and cadre-enforced lockdowns? You would miss your Whole Foods and whatever other shopping is no longer necessarily well-stocked, even if the building still stands (and many do not), right? And your massage sessions that now necessitate being masked, if allowed at all? And that great gym that can only operate at 50% capacity is way better than manual labor, right? Your travel opportunities have been curtailed, both in mode and destination, so why slave for for dictators who are going to support having that great salary and investment portfolio taxed away before you ever get to *retirement*, in exchange for 2 weeks at some walled resort in a place honestly degraded, as opposed to the Potemkin ‘burb you now call home?

The people I’m addressing know full well that only denial and essential cowardice are keeping them wherever they are. They aren’t doing it for the children. They, like the proggies, are doing it for the perception of others. They need to know that someone is always watching them. Even if they fully capitulate and hold back nothing in their commitment to their child’s *future*, that future is the future of Big Brother’s foot on their neck, forever.

Everyone passively participating in this sham of a so-called revolution, hoping to be overlooked, is a hostage. Their kids are hostage, their home is hostage and that great job is hostage. Since the system is now rigged, all that collateral will be lost. Because someone, somewhere is watching and they are envious of *something* you have: your faith; your certitude; your confidence; your loving relationships; your successes. Even your spouse and your kids.

They want what you have and they will take it when they can.
You will be shocked when it happens and what then? The pride that comes from *fighting back* in a rigged game is empty. It prolongs the outcome. It changes nothing.

Get out. Downscale and downsize and use your energy to fight back by educating people who will grow up to revitalize this country in other places.

Let the progs have the cities and the public and revolutionized private schools. Because only when there are no more whites or Christians or non-secularized Jews to demonize, no more civilization to raze, will their own bankruptcy be made manifest and the entire sham fall into feral abandonment, ripe for rebuilding.

Then, your work-hardened, reality-educated children will be in a position elsewhere to birth their own strong children, strong civilization and defend it from what will be obvious failure.

I went through the “Chicago Public School System”. It’s one of the many reasons why I homeschool mine.

Train your children to spot their teachers’ B.S.. It’s a lot more effective to prepare your children, arm them with the truth, than it is to try to change their minds once they become Leftist zombies.

So you advocate your children being taught to know that when they are stoned to death in the school yard that the other students are wrong?   It seems a better choice would be to remove that situation from their lives.

Having said that, I let my child grow up in public school, graduated from a good conservative university and now she is married to a PhD who just left employment at one Ivy League University and now is employed at another Ivy League University.   So, my daughter now thinks the worst of me, and I did train her to spot her teachers’ B.S.

I think parents today need to re-evaluate *two incomes*.

My wife never worked and it didn't keep us from letting the socialist indoctrination reach our daughter.

I suspect that the questioning teenager seeing parents with feet of clay so to speak is all that it takes.   Our daughter was always the perfect child and student and she still may have some old traditional values but she hides it well.

She has a brother-in-law whose wife's sibling is a transgender son/daughter.   His mother and sister are both lawyers, so that dynamic isn't hard to read.

My daughter is friends also with my son-in-law's Phd candidate partner/peer and they have a transgender daughter/son.   The Dad is from India so it isn't a shock to me that the kid wants to be the gender that gets more of the parental approval.

Sympathies.

I know too many families in similar, even more painful, circumstances.

Many want to blame parents and “spare the rod”, but the truth is, the children were taken and transformed hideously to be used as a weapon.

Rush has been speaking about families where the kids came home from college and converted the parents, who did not want to lose them. Many parents tell their children they still love them, even as they disapprove (and cry in private) of the routes the kids have taken.

There are huge holes in our societal fabric.
