School will be a very different place next year. Classes will be less full. Desks will be rigorously sterilized. And, if the education establishment has its way, teachers will be aggressively “woke.”
“We are living at a time of obscene inequities and merely trying to compensate is not enough,” the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) recently announced. “Equity is more than making things more accessible and AASA’s work on equity must go further and become actively anti-racist. . . . Leading a system-wide effort requires that we ensure that cultural responsiveness permeates all levels of the district.”
For many parents, this might sound like an unobjectionable appeal to moral progress in the wake of a tragic injustice. But they could be surprised when they realize what antiracist, culturally responsive classrooms will look like. Antiracism sounds simple: treat everyone the same, like a version of the Golden Rule. But the Chicago Public School district headlined its recently released “toolkit to help foster productive conversations about race and civil disobedience” with an epigraph by Angela Davis, the former Communist and criminal fugitive who supplied the guns used in the Marin Courthouse massacre in 1970. “In a racist society, it is not enough to not be non-racist,” said Davis. “We must be anti-racist.” The toolkit provides links to materials written by the Southern Poverty Law Center and directs teachers toward Ibram X. Kendi’s How to Be an Anti-Racist.
Education Week’s “Classroom Q&A” blog tells teachers that “As Dr. Ibram X. Kendi would say, there is no ‘not racist.’ There is only racist and anti-racist. Your silence favors the status quo and the violently oppressive harm it does to black and brown folk everywhere.”

Train your children to spot their teachers’ B.S.. It’s a lot more effective to prepare your children, arm them with the truth, than it is to try to change their minds once they become Leftist zombies.
The culture war, if that’s what it’s called, has been in the schools for at least the last two generations. That’s why even so many grand parents fall for the lies of the media.
It’s been in all public and most private schools for at least a generation, 2 in the dim states.
But hey, it’s better to have ‘free daycare’.
And at least you kids won’t be ‘homeschooled weirdos’.
Much better to have commie anarchists who burn the country down than ‘homeschooled weirdos’.
Parents should forget about saving for college. They need to use that money to send their kids to private school or home-school when they are young. By the time they are ready for college it is too late. And most colleges are no longer worth attending.

If you have the time to ‘train your children to spot their teachers BS’, you have time to teach them yourself.
A relative of mine found out the hard way...30 minutes of ‘discussion’ over supper every night is NOT enough to counter 40+hrs a week of straight up brainwashing.
She also found out, the hard way, that her kids told her what she wanted to hear during these ‘over supper discussions’ because they didn’t want her to make a scene at school.
This was in a rural school in a red state. And 15+ years ago.
Anyone who thinks THEIR public schools aren’t breeding little commies is in denial. Commies have had a firm grip on ALL the teaching colleges for 2 generations now.
The culture war has been “on” in our schools for decades. For the most part, only the left has been doing the fighting.
I taught and coached in public HS for 30 years and I used the A-V materials and textbooks as points of reference to pause and show the kids how demonstrably slanted and outright false the published materials were. That was my role. But I was swimming upstream.
Silly me. And here I thought school was all about teaching kids reading, writing and arithmetic.
Now they’ll be even more ignorant of basic skills but well-versed in communist bumper sticker slogans.
Everyone should be homeschooling kids now.

Could be? It’s been there for over 30 years. Remember the SEICUS (pronounced “sick us”) guidelines promoting masturbation by third graders? That was in the 1990s during the Clinton era. The Left has chapioned outright evil in public schools for a long time. First, they kicked God out then they let Satan in through the front door.
We actually did home school our children, but not everybody has that option. There are a lot of two-earner families our there.
Our children have done an excellent job of immunizing our grandchildren against the buttholes running the schools. Nobody in our family experiences white guilt or accepts men as women, etc.
The “men as women” lunacy is a good starting point, a wedge to open children’s eyes. The natural male/female dichotomy is ingrained in their very being; it’s common sense that is built in, so to speak. Once you detach them from blind acceptance of their teachers’ views on that, they never trust any other B.S. propaganda. Make them ready.
You're so outdated. Schools are to teach children about Climate Change, multiculturalism and how to put condoms on cucumbers.
I predict citizens will get nowhere with their “pushing back”. Schools have been in leftist indoctrination mode for a generation and they aren’t changing.

My oldest daughter is 68.
She was first exposed to this crap at her elementary school which was and still is located in the very best residential area in the city.
Today she is as nuts as AOC.
However her sister, who went to all of the same schools 6 years later is a jewel. A joy to be with.
So the schools are guilty as charged, but some people lack the gene that enables them to distinguish between right and wrong. They existed from the beginning of time and are hopeless.
Everyone should be homeschooling kids now.
Here are some successes I know:
A (so far) successful med student, former marine
A lawyer - wife of a successful lawyer, mother of 3
A PhD candidate with degrees in 3 different fire lads of engineering -and, yes, with a good job
A new grad with 3 pertinent majors including an essential foreign language with superior fluency as tested
All thinking people. All socially successful.
Just saying.
College? By the time a kid gets to college they’ve moved on. They’re either brainwashable or they’ve been encouraged to think for themselves. Most of the many home schooled kids I know spent some time in public or private schools in high school.
It is a good opportunity to help them sort out propaganda and favoritism so prevalent in college and beyond
