Justice Department will replace top Manhattan federal prosecutor Geoffrey Berman with SEC chief Jay Clayton
((Yawn))
Breaking news: Berman says he is not resigning and this is the first he heard of it. This is awesome. Barr visits NY, doesnt like what he says and 1 ... 2 ... 3, you have a new attorney nominee and an interim acting attorney, and Berman was probably locked out of his office. At least he wasnt all the way in LA like Comey was when the hammer came down.
The present NY AG has refused to step down as announced by Barr.
This could be interesting as the Obama appointees refuse to leave.
I wonder if this has something to do with the recent top level resignations/firings at HQ DOJ. I think there were at least three departures, including the head of the criminal division.
