Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Friday the United States should celebrate Juneteenth, the day commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S., by enacting Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s (D-TX) legislation forming a commission to study proposals for issuing reparations.

I am all in favor of reparations — as long as they are totally paid by the Democrat Party and those voting for it.
Sorry AOC, I never owned a slave and no slaves are alive today. Don’t forget that it was Blacks who started the slave trade and Republicans who fought and died to end it. Maybe families of soldiers killed in the Civil War should get reparations.
I don’t know how the Democratic Party of the KKK and Jim Crow politics can afford to pay the reparations that they are directly responsible for.

She is an evil witch. Reparations will never happen because more than 150 years have passed since there was no more slavery in this country. Nobody who was a slave is alive today. She knows that. She is just pandering to the few black people who believe the democrat’s nonsense.
Last I heard; there were around 300k black and 300k white slaves. The only difference was the white ones were called indentured servants. Most of the latter didn’t make it to be free when their time expired. They expired first because they were worked to the bone daily whereas the black slaves were treated much better.
So who is getting the reparations? All the whites? All the blacks? Everyone who is only white or black; not Hispanic or Asian?
My ancestor came over as indentured servant from England.Had a choice of being hung or go to America. He was Caucasian
