My daughter was telling me that ordering tickets was all the rage within her college friend’s social media. The intent was to order a million tickets and so “few” show up.

It’s a stupid tactic.

That doesn’t make sense. Are you saying that out of a million tickets issued, more than 980,000 of them went to Democrats? Doubtful.

Wasn’t entirely dumb. It’s not that tickets are limited or that admission isn’t first-come-first-served even without tickets. It’s that the Trump campaign was publicizing the number of tickets ordered. Attendees weren’t about to teleport to the event. If even 100,000 people had shown up, parking and getting there would have been a nightmare. Far better for Trump to keep the number of tickets ordered private so as not to depress attendance.
