“...or a sound reason to believe that the evidence sought will be destroyed.”

So, anyone can come up with a fake reason to get this. How do you think so many SWATtings happen? From no proof, you have a random caller to 911 who simply has to say, “I saw a man holding a gun to the head of a child as he went into the house at 1501 Maple Drive.”

That is all you need for proof to No Knock the elderly woman or CCL guy at 1501 Maple Drive.

You have no concept of what you speak.

Well.....actually.......I have a great deal of knowledge about which I “speak”. And no, you can not get such a warrant from a 911 call or an informant’s tip. “Informant’s” information must be verified or there must be some other evidence given to believe it is true.

I repeat......these warrants are EXTREMELY rare for good reason. They put both the occupant’s and officers at risk. But they are a useful tool in the rare circumstances. Judges are reluctant to sign them absent these rare circumstances.
