My wife went to school at UGA with him. She literally ran into him one day while entering an elevator in a hurry.I got to see him play live one time while he was at UGa. We Techies went up to Athens for the Tech - Georgia game ... 1980 I think. We sat outside the stadium overlooking the end zone. Herschel ran wild that day. Once he got around the end, we had no one who could catch him.
