As is usually the case there are shades of gray and the truth is someplace in between.
This guy was certainly no angel. Neither was George Floyd. But so far as I can tell neither of them did anything that warrants the death penalty. And even if they did there is due process and a cop does not get to be judge, jury and executioner.
Sometimes a cop is bad and acts with malfeasance. Sometimes there is a fog of war situation and tragic things just happen. Sometimes a cop has legitimate reasons to draw his weapon. Sometimes they misjudge that situation. There are some bad cops, but most certainly the majority are NOT bad.
Nobody seems to be able to look at things realistically anymore.

Sorry, but others have a different opinion regarding Rayshard Brooks actions leading to his death.
stop with the “death sentence” sophistry...sounds like you got authority issues. You resist arrest and escalate, then thats on you...next cop you see, grab his taser, see what happens. ..smh
But so far as I can tell neither of them did anything that warrants the death penalty.
This didnt deserve it business is moronic. People die everyday that dont deserve it. Very often its a direct result of actions they themselves have taken.
Brooks had already escalated the fight to deadly force, when he pounding Rolfe’s partner’s head into the pavement. Had he also hit or tried to hit Rolfe in the head before the chase? He then tried to hit Rolfe with the taser. Very dangerous, if he’d been successful at zapping Rolfe and turned to fight again. Should someone as dangerous as Brooks at the time be allowed to escape?
Hard to tell on the shooting for those of us looking through hindsight. DWI/DUI alone presents a lot of liability these days for cops who let drunks/druggies go. With the judicial environment and so much legislation over the years, this is not like the 1950s or 1960s for sure.
Rolfe’s partner had a concussion from the head injury, BTW.
You don’t know shit about law enforcement and act/react situations.
I can take someone like you, bring you in to an act/react building, hand you an automated pistol and put various scenarios in front of you on a screen. You will not walk out of the building without f’ing up and “killing” an innocent person. And this is in an environment where you know it’s not really life or death.
I am very tired of the hoards of people I see who know everything about something they know nothing about.
