Clearly with the city putting in barricades, this is unconstitutional seizure of property. The liabilities are incredible.
The Democrats have bought a legal serving of tort flavored whoop ass.
Property owners need to sue and city and the mayor and each member of the city council.
A few hundred lawsuits might get their attention.
All they need is one take no prisoners attorney determined to take the case all the way to the US Supreme Court if necessary.
That attorney should also try to convince the Justice Department to file federal kidnapping and RICO charges against everyone associated with this mess.

Shalom. Like everything else the Democrats have done so far, I don’t think they have gamed this through. I suspect that if local Republicans run on a restore sanity agenda they will sweep the elected offices. Even liberal land owners in Seattle will feel threatened by these shenanigans. (I am assuming there are still republicans in Seattle. Probably hiding in closets.) The current local courts, however, will probably will not find in favor of the residents because they are all fed on unicorn poop. Unless, of course, the judge lives in the CHOP.
