Viruses aren’t living, living host cells perform the life functions for them. It’d not temperatures that render a virus harmless so much as it is Ultraviolet and other ionizing radiation that do that,

I know they aren’t living. I have heard that when the host (the person) sneezes or speaks and expels the virus the virus cannot survive in hot temperatures long enough to infect another host.
