The Supreme Court ruled Monday that a landmark civil rights law protects gay and transgender workers from workplace discrimination, handing the movement for L.G.B.T. equality a stunning victory.
The vote was 6 to 3, with Justice Neil M. Gorsuch writing the majority opinion. He was joined by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
The case concerned Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which bars employment discrimination based on race, religion, national origin and sex. The question for the justices was whether that last prohibition discrimination because of sex applies to many millions of gay and transgender workers. It is hard to overstate the magnitude of this decision, and the size of the loss to religious and social conservatives. SCOTUS, the highest legal authority in the land, has declared that homosexuality and transgenderism are like race. If you disagree, you are on the side of Klansmen, in effect. This is not just the opinion of Democratic lawmakers, or columnists at The New York Times. This is now the law of the land. And it became the law of the land thanks to two Republican justices, Roberts and Gorsuch, who were loyal to their class in the clutch.

It seems about every 5 years, SCOTUS unites to knock down some major pillar of local government control or civil society, and engage in a major bout of centralized, progressive social engineering.
Equal rights, not extra rights.
I am not sure where this violates that mindset?
Six idiot Justices.
Here is a simple question for somebody trying to claim workplace discrimination
How are you going to prove to me that youre gay? Or homosexual?
No, this is definitely special rights.
Another reason for secession.
Rush nailed it today. The Kavanaugh hearings were designed to send a message to the conservative justices on the court; they better toe the line or else.
Gay.. the new black, I guess.
I completely agree. In its present form, America is no longer viable.
I do not see a problem here unless we are looking at it from the lens of ideology. If someone wants to dress up as a fairy princess and show up to work, unless there is a formal dress code, I couldn’t care any less about what sex/gender/animal a person chooses to identify as.
This isn’t a win or loss for anyone.
So how do the Amish avoid getting sucked into these alleged laws ?
I hope the lawsuits fly in FAVOR of Christian beliefs about this obscene decision. It’s bad enough that this court has allowed for the slaughter of babies by the millions, allowed for same sex marriage, and now can force salons to shave male genitals?? Force schools to let boys use girls restroom?? Is there anything left that the freaks can’t do?? The Supreme Court is NOT the final word.....it can be challenged which I hope it is....chalk up one for Satan.....again.
IMHO soon the idea of secession will be mainstream and feel inevitable.
As the left has told us, sexual orientation and even gender are completely changeable. so I guess ones extra protections change pending where you with to rub your genitals today, or whether or not you decide if you have genitals, or not.
Do you want your kids and grand kids to see this crap? Think it is normal? So are you a fag?
I agree. If a business owner wants to employ gays, that’s their business, not mine.
Homosexuality is a matter of religious belief, just like being Jewish or Muslim. We don’t have to like it, but every soul in America has the same right to protection from discrimination on the job.
Discrimination on this issue will NOT solve our moral problems or change hearts.
“Equal rights, not extra rights.
I am not sure where this violates that mindset?”
We are far beyond that idea. This is now thought control. If you deviate from established law, even in your beliefs, it is a thought crime.
As long as we keep putting Ivy Leage JDs in the Supreme Court this will happen, leftist indoctrination is a prerequisite for graduation ...
When Law is based upon not just someone’s feelings bit the feelings of delusional crazy people then the law is beneath contempt. It is not respect worthy. There is no basis in reason or fact for this decision. 1 plus 1 is 2. PERIOD.
