In my area it's pretty much understood that high school sports will be shut down at least through the end of the school year due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

It's being presented as a "safety measure," but I suspect that school budget cuts are the real reason for it.

I wouldn't be surprised if many of these high school sports never come back.
