States may need to lock back down if coronavirus cases spike, the CDC is warning.
“If cases begin to go up again, particularly if they go up dramatically, it’s important to recognize that more mitigation efforts such as what were implemented back in March may be needed again,” Jay Butler, the agency’s deputy director for infectious diseases, told reporters Friday.
However, the second wave of lockdowns could be accomplished on a local, rather than state-wide level, Butler said.

If there is a second wave, it will be weak and it will definitely be because of the protests and rioters.
People won’t be fooled again. Esp when these mass mobs encouraged in the blue cities fail to flood hospitals.

The credibility of CDC or Tony Fauci are irrelevant to this particular question.
“Opening” will either prove or disprove their claims. If they are wrong, nothing will happen. If they’re right, the consequences are as bad as they are predictable.
The truth is, no one knows what will happen when restrictions are lifted. Due to incompetence almost beyond belief, mixed with #resistance, we still have not conducted proper field studies to clarify the most important questions about the epidemiology and risks of this disease.
