Certainly President Trump understands the importance of and to make the most of prime time television. Recent events have provided another opportunity for him to address the nation during prime time.
In order to get the media to provide coverage and provide it from start to finish, the even will need to be a subject they can not resist to cover.
The subject can be an announcement on the use of the military and national guard during the current rioting. The potential for points against Trump will be too much for them not to cover.
But instead of allowing them to score points president Trump should go on offensive driving three major points across to the American public.
First as the prime time event starts you will see President trump and three pastors. President Trump will be kneeling on both knees. You will have a priest a rabbi and a pastor. One of which should be African American. They will all have hands on the President praying over him silently.
The President will then stand up and recite the pledge of allegiance before the American flag.
He will then follow with a short address containing three points to cover. Keeping the press from breaking away coverage is important so the speech must be short and concise.
The first point will be for every event an American flag is raised or honored a short period of prayer and reflection be given asking God for reconciliation and a deeper understanding of what divides our country before the flag is displayed.
The second point will be about funds (in the billions) that will be allocated toward training for police departments throughout the United States on procedures for handling situations such as George Floyd.
The third and final would be notification to the American people of the President’s plan to federalize the national guard if a peaceful solution to domestic terrorist activity can not be found.
The non violent protesters are going on pure emotion and are moved by acts that move these emotions. One of President Trumps line during the campaign was what do you have to lose. At this time many of these people are angry and do not trust any institution since they can not identify why they feel the way the do. Acts of violence by police are only justification for these feelings for them. This is a historic opportunity to shift loyalties if done correctly.
Seattle is just their beginning! Stop them now!
Gotta insure against “urban sprawl” and then the premise is correct - wouldn’t miss it.

I have such good memories of Seattle in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and we’d visit often. It’s a shame it had to come to this. We’d visit from Alaska, and the guys would go to football games while we shopped at South Center. There was no sales tax in AK then (might be now), so when we landed at the airport there was a kiosk where you could get a tax exempt card and shop like crazy at their stores. They had some great restaurants, and we loved the Olympic Hotel. Now it sounds like total crap. The Pacific NW is gorgeous!

I’m beginning to wonder if it’s not time to transition into the 49 United States of America - that shares a border with Antifistan. Provide all malcontents (liberals, Marxists, anarchists, BLM’s, - throw in professors, media-types, celebrities, athletes, popular culturalists, etc.) who can no longer abide living in America their own state (let it be Washington). Give them free passage there (u-haul service so they can lug their newly pilfered loot), as well. Once they enter, they forfeit their US citizenship. They are not allowed re-entry (as they become part of a hostile nation). They are entitled to whatever their land will afford, but all gas lines, pipelines, trucking, transit, power lines, food supplies, medical supplies, etc. are cut off at their borders (unless they want to arrange trade deals.)
Once this occurs, the remaining citizens of this country need to have access to a proper quality education where all distortions and lies that have been broadcast, aired, or taught without correction or challenge for the last several decades may be corrected.

I know it’s fun now, but at some point it would become a base of operations for drug cartels or Chicomm invasion. Would be like allowing the Nazis to take control of just one little part of a city in America during WW2. Its tricky only because many of our cities now are seeming to be pledging their allegiance to other countries or philosophies.
If we could trust it would remain completely independent and just bit of fun for us to laugh at the idiot hippies, that would be one thing, but it wouldn’t. A vacuum, a failed state, would be taken advantage of as a beachhead for enemy foreign powers. They could then work out in the open on our own soil toward our destruction .
Isn’t Seattle a deep water port? In fact there are many on the left coast. We would all miss them.

The reasons that people with skills and jobs might want to live in a city are pretty much gone now.
Not really. But then it would spread to Tacoma, Olympia, Spokane, Ceour de Alene (sp?), etc.
