“President Trump will be kneeling on both knees.”

As much as I am for freedom of religion and prayer, commingling such a public display of Christian religion by the POTUS with politics in this situation would be inappropriate. Like ... I didn’t feel moved by Schumer and Pelosi wearing African scarfs kneeling as nothing more than phoney political posturing, not as an act to bring Americans together.

We are two separate peoples separated by two separate ideologies that can no longer co-exist. Each perceives the other to be a direct threat to everything they believe.

There is no easy exit on this one my FRiend, and the sides are being drawn up - it is the Americans vs the anti-Americans. The former seem to be waiting on/expecting their mostly weak elected representatives to do something...which they will not, until maybe things get much worse. Else, your 2nd Amendment right to form a militia might be the nest step, and the first sign of the American side to fight back given the politicians have not protected us against enemies foreign and domestic.

Even moving “them” into a single area ... like they wouldn’t resist that. Expect them to resist b/c they would be cut off from all the benefit$ and freedoms (speech, etc.) outside the zone, and believe they are entitled to control the entire country and impose their Anti-Americanism on others, not be limited to a smaller area.

When these meatheads on the West Coast try to secede from the American Union. The States will be California,Oregon, and Washington. They will name their new utopia something like Cascadia, and proclaim it an eco biosphere or some other nonsense.

However there is a bloodless way to stop it. Post WW2 a mountain of capital was invested in education and industry,up and down the West Coast. When that capital leaves so do people. Also historically the Western real estate market has more non resident ownership than the Midwest,Southern, and Eastern regions. We get butchered in those downturns.

Something will have to be done within the next ten years.
China will be licking their chops negotiating with the women and girly men politicians out here.

My proposal is load them on barges and let Xi Jinping and “rocket man” test their new missiles out.

I hate them.

Interesting. I guess I’m not over grieving for the loss of Seattle after all.

It was such a great town to grow up in. Rough around the edges, it was the little burg that grew too big for its britches. It wasn’t until the 90’s that the real phonies took over, trying to pretend Seattle for what it never was (and could never be).

The left solidified its hold on both government and local culture and it was then I knew all was lost. There was always a little edge of danger to Seattle but that also expressed itself as excitement as well. But in the 90’s Seattle changed from crusty with a little touch of scary to corrupt and downright malevolent. You were a damned fool if you didn’t travel armed and kept your eyes on a snivel.

I had long since abandoned Seattle as a viable place for entertainment - it just wasn’t worth the risk - but work sent me into the city on occasion and there was no escaping that obligation. I would watch the crime reporting like most people check the weather report. I would plan and execute my mission like my life depended upon it (cus it did!), and I would get in and get out.

I’m retired now and have no reason to return to Oz (The Emerald City). The spell is irretrievably broken and as far as I am concerned it can rot, along with the scum that ruined it.

but there will always be that little twinge of regret for the town that used to be so cool...

Serious questions deserve serious answers...thank you.

Left/right, conservative/liberal doesn't really exist any more. Maybe it never did but we have better ways of measuring it nowadays.

Two polling groups that have done the best job I've seen in categorizing the fractured populace are More in Common (a leftish organization which in theory tries to bring people together) and Pew (which I believe does a better job than More in Common). At the links is a cornucopia of data that breaks down the citizenry.

The left nowadays is comprised of about three or four separate factions:

- Solid Liberals/Progressive Activists (predominantly white younger college educated affluent non-religious coastal urbanites - "The deck is stacked against people of color, against women, against people who don’t have the advantages that others have. It’s not an egalitarian society by any means.”),

- Opportunity Democrats/Traditional Libs (racially mixed, slightly older and somewhat college educated and somewhat affluent and religious South and Western urbanites - "I think some people’s situations are challenging, and no matter how hard they work, they can’t get ahead. That’s why I don’t like the Republican Party. They don’t want to help. I think some kinds of people need help, and the government should help them.”),

-Disaffected Democrats/Passive Libs (racially diverse non-college grad less affluent renters and somewhat religious Southern and Western suburbanites - "“I have liberal views, but I think political correctness has gone too far, absolutely. We have gotten to a point where everybody is offended by the smallest thing.”),

- Devout and Diverse Dems, faces even tougher financial hardships than Disaffected Democrats. Devout and Diverse also are the most politically mixed typology group (about a quarter lean Republican), as well as the least politically engaged. Like Disaffected Democrats, they are critical of government regulation of business. They also are the most religiously observant Democratic-leaning group, and the only one in which a majority (64%) says it is necessary to believe in God to be moral and have good values.

When the nation was founded, historians estimate that about 15-20% of the colonists were Loyalists, about 30-40% were Patriots, and the rest was ballast. Substitute Solid Liberals and more globalist elements of the other Dem groups for Loyalists, and we see that 200+ years later, things aren't much different.

HOWEVER, there are clusters of Americans in the latter two subgroups who are open to normality/MAGA. I wouldn't lump those American in with the former two groups who are basically Loyalists who'd prefer that we yield sovereignty and tradition for multinational hegemony.

Some men, you just can't reach. Leave them alone to wallow and burn down their enclaves as we work to Red Pill their political refugees to the world of Deplorablism. It beats watching Biden take the Oath in Jan 2021.

Let CHAZ degenerate into total chaos as it is destined to do. The problem is totally on the heads of the loony Seattle mayor and leftist governor.. Trump should just ignore CHAZ and not intervene. Let the mayor and Governor come begging for federal help when things are so bad that the decent people of Washington finally demand action. As for fears of CHAZ metastasizing to other areas, the best remedy is for people to see those thugs armed with assault weapons enforcing the dictates of their warlord
