Atlanta police shot and killed a black man late Friday night following a struggle outside a Wendys restaurant on the citys southside, in an incident that inflamed tensions over police use of force and racial injustice that have roiled Atlanta and cities across the nation since the Memorial Day death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
Video of the shooting of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, who had allegedly fallen asleep in his car and blocked the restaurants drive-through, went viral across social media. Protesters marching for a third weekend in Atlanta for justice for Floyd and other black men and women killed by police quickly demanded a full investigation Saturday of the Brooks shooting, and the Georgia NAACP called for the termination of Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields.

Don’t bother. That one has lost its mind will be rioting next.
Au contraire mon frere, I do common sense and logic. Bigtime.
Uh how about you go out in the evening to monitor the streets and how about you deal with this jerk that was probably high on meth how about you deal with them oh and don’t shoot them cuz people like you will say I’m livid with the cops killing people
Third
Uhhh they have family and bills like most others, it just isnt that easy.
=============================================
For many already on the job, true.
However, going forward, any Caucasian even remotely thinking of getting into law enforcement in the historically liberal cities, should not think twice about it....they should think 3 and 4 times about it and their family and friends...if they loved them, would discourage it with all their conviction.
Listen, I really don’t care that he was high, I regard that as a health problem, not a moral failing. He didn’t deserve the death penalty.
EXACTLY. Now it's somehow "conservative" to support cops who escalate every stupid incident into a life-or-death matter. WTF happened??
I am conservative. I do NOT like police. They are NOT my friend. They get into every damned aspect of our lives these days. I don't want traffic cams, plate scanners, facial recognition, cops killing dogs, cops given 100% leeway to use lethal force.
Our collective memory seems to have forgotten the time when CITIZENS were involved in law enforcement, and would often help hunt outlaws and be permitted lethal force. This was common. When politicians were terrified of citizens who might tar and feather them in the streets if they went too far. Now we are all pathetic, willing slaves of a police state.
Go out there tough guy.. either you’re drunk you’re trolling or you’re just trying to rile people up on this thread pathetic
Who among us has ever resisted the police in such a manner? If you were to resist in that way, would you reasonably expect to survive the encounter? Looks like suicide by cop to me.
The Wendys employee said he was drunk. When the cops arrived he was asleep. Why not just let him sleep it off?
Ambulance chaser??
The shooting of Daniel shaver was one of the most horrific cases.
I agree that What happened to Wendys is not excessive force.
I side with the cop here.
Advise them to reconsider because guess who is buying lots of property there. The mega rich liberals. Guess what kind of culture and politics they will bring with them!
Family law, child abuse and neglect cases, custody, paternity, minor guardianship.
Yes he CHOSE the death penalty he chose it by his behavior just like some of the other black quote victims on quote who decide they’re going to tangle with another person that has a gun if you decide to attack fight a person who is carrying a weapon you might just get killed that’s simple
They want to use collective guilt, okay, well punish the mob by denying them any form of justice for their childish actions.
Just in time as the Minneapolis shooting started to die down.
Another freaking week of 24 hr hand wringing and finger pointing.
November can’t come soon enough.
Base on the two videos I saw, it looks justified. The victim actively resisted and fought the officers and attempted to use a stolen taser against them. A Taser can incapacitate them and allow unrestricted access to their firearm.
Ummm, If you attack the police anything can happen.
Your life may be different than mine, but I don’t attack police.
They want me in jail for the night, I go.
You suck as any kind of legal counsel.
You are asking officers to do the impossible. They contact the guy, all is peaceful until they have to arrest him. Then the cops are fighting for their lives with a powerful man who is trying to take their weapons and kill them.
He gets a weapon (the cop who shot might not have known in the confusion whether it’s a taser or a gun) and fires it at the officer, then starts to turn.
The officer has to decide now or perhaps die, shoot or don’t shoot.
And he’s “over the top” if he shoots?
My a$$.
