Roughly 200 looters stole over $100,000 worth of products from a Tampa, Florida, Walmart on the evening of May 30, according to local law enforcement.
The Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office is asking for assistance in identifying the looters, who raided the Walmart Supercenter on East Fletcher Avenue shortly after 9:00 p.m. local time.
FOX 13 reports:
The store was closed due to the police brutality protests occurring outside the University Mall, but people wielding blunt objects like hammers broke the glass entrance doors and stormed into the store.
Footage released by the sheriffs office shows wave after wave of looters streaming through the front door past the social-distancing reminders and ransacking the stores electronics section, hauling away computers, TVs, and more.
After reviewing the video, detectives believe somewhere around 200 people participated. An estimated $116,000 in merchandise and damages was reported.

Two hundred people that should have been shot as looters. Now, 200 to be tracked down and prosecuted, convicted, and jailed.
I watched the video. Walmart has excellent cameras and a lot were not wearing masks, so yes they will catch a lot. All they have to do is catch the ones not wearing masks then get them to turn in others.
The policed failed, so just being hopeful that justice will be served. But, alas, probably none will be prosecuted as it would somehow be dismissed as racist.
They should close down and abandon that store.

Well;. if they’re of the right race it’s OK!
The media has to meet the approval of the marketeers who pay for it.

This is awful. I think the response from Walmart should be to unlock all previously locked up items (electronics, spray paint, beauty, tobacco, razors, etc.), remove all price scanners from their main and self-checkout registers, turn off all security cameras, lay off all security personnel, remove security device scanners at their entrance/exit doors, and re-price all items to $0.00. But just to be safe from the medical Nazis, have several hand sanitizer stations positioned throughout the stores.
The math on that works. 200 protesters and $100k works out to $500 each. Sure enough, pretty much every time I stuff a whole cart full at Walmart its about $500.
Wal-Mart has better security than anyone.
Picture the television show “24” where tons of people are constantly viewing multiple screens each. That is what they have.
I know this because I’ve worked investigations where Wal-Mart footage was needed.
If Wal-Mart suddenly plays dumb or under-equipped, it will be a big fat lie.
Walmart will just write it off.
Darn Amish.
[Darn Amish.]
I hear ya. All those Japanese in there, too.
One thing these folks have in common.....
They were looking for a STEAL!!
Can’t beat the price. Unless there’s some jail time, of course. A few will get caught, not most.
These are the punks cops should KILL.
You really couldn’t blame them for doing just that. Declare the store a loss, collect insurance on the looted goods and store damage, and move on to serve communities that aren’t allowing this to happen.
There is no diversity in that crowd. Still waiting for the video of an all caucasian crowd looting a store.
Good thing the black hair products were still in locked cabinets.
