In 2001 the Taliban dynamited the internationally protected Buddhas of Bamyan that were carved in to a cliff in Afghanistan. These were priceless cultural artwork that were created in 507 CE. To the Taliban they were immoral icons.

Here is the problem. The media, even FNC, and people here, use Twitter reactions and call it “Furious backlash” and “Outrage” when Twitter is bots, trolls, and left wing activists. It’s not a platform for conservatives. Might as well run stories about how OUTRAGED Salon, Buzzfeed and HuffPo readers were because THAT is the majority audience/participants of Twitter.
Yet they dominated ALL political conversation in this country and have huge celebrities, politicians and companies bowing to whatever those on Twitter are OUTRAGED about today.
