I am sure the undercurrent of this is that more white artists will be ignored and more black...wait til we see more country artists singing being outvoted by some black crap artist....
So they’re renaming it so people will think it isn’t the same old crap? But it will still stink just the same.

I predict award shows will give awards to ‘urban’ movies and singers / rappers in the coming year.

Are you familiar with the country trio “Lady Antebellum”?
They are changing their band name. I’m serious. I saw the story on Fox and was shocked.
The band released a ridiculous statement which said that the band felt that the word “Antebellum” may be offensive to some people. I was incensed.
I’m a rock music fan, but I listen to some country. “Lady Antebellum” was one of the few modern country bands that I liked. I can’t stomach most of modern “country”.
I will never listen to them again. Their decision to change their name is beyond absurd and stupid beyond belief.
I hope many of their fans give them Hell.
in defense of Lady Antebellum, they stated several yrs ago that their name was just something they picked out and sort of regretted it and have really been using the name “lady A “ for several yrs..
So there used to be a Best Album category that a white person won. So they created a Best Urban Album category for blacks. Now there will only be Best Album again that YT will win. How does this help them?
