NASCAR will no longer require its teams to stand during the national anthem. Instead, drivers and team members will be allowed to engage in peaceful protest.
According to NBC sports’ Dustin Long, “NASCAR eliminated the guidelines before last weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. NASCAR official Kirk Price knelt during the invocation and raised a fist. Price, who served on active duty in the U.S. Army for three years, remained kneeling during the anthem while he saluted the flag.”
Bubba Wallace, the sports only full-time black driver, called Price’s protest a “powerful move.”
“If I would have seen it, I would have went there and stood next to him, kneeled next to him because it’s such a powerful move,” Wallace told CNN. “A man, an incredible man, who has served our country, kneeling down. People think it’s disrespecting the flag and going against our military, and it’s definitely not.
“I was so uneducated what the kneeling meant when it started but now reading about it and what it stands for … and I’m still doing a lot of learning myself, don’t get me wrong, I don’t know everything about what’s going on in the world but that’s what we are trying to deliver the message. Listen and learn to be able to better educate ourselves.”
Wallace is set to race Wednesday night in a No. 43 car adorned with a #BlackLivesMatter paint scheme.

We need to start another football league, racing forum, basket ball teams. Don’t pay them millions, just make it like it used to be.
I attend a few pro golf tournament each year, both mens and ladies. If they go political I am gone. Same with MLB. The first time they ask me to “rise” for some political gimmick I am out of there.
They’re working on that, check out the rape statistics ( not that theyve been released recently, the numbers tell a story completely at odds with the narrative and they cant have that).
I will watch SUMO. People that understand honor and tradition.

For more than I would like to imagine. We still have people here fully supporting the NFL, NBA, Division 1 College sports, etc. It's pathetic.
Id like to believe that but once they managed to shove even the tranny issue down people’s throats, even to the point of opposing harpy feminists who at least know what a woman is, I just don’t believe that anymore. We are not winning the culture war. I believe that theyre already trying to get “tolerance” of pedophilia sneaked onto the agenda.
If there’s no NFL, no need for NCAAF.
And NCAAF is still a cash cow fir colleges and unis.
My bet is, since the institutions are already under incredible financial pressures, this crap won’t be going on in the NCAAF. The players and the institutions have too much too lose, and all involved have already shown they’re disinclined to put their money where their mouths are.

Very pathetic. Its hard to believe that watching these illiterate thugs could be that important to anyone. You don’t even have to be an activist, just passively don’t watch.

And I don’t believe that we’re losing the culture war because they’ve managed to gain the hearts and minds of a majority, its because they have all the megaphones and the power to make dissenters pay. Soon it won’t be good enough to just say nothing, they will demand oaths of allegiance, so to speak, from everyone. They’re already doing that with important and highly visible entities and people.
Not under these circumstances. Let the NFL kneel and grovel, people want to be entertained, not lectured. Beside, the game has become so brutal it’s not worth watching. It used to be a game. People just like to get together, have tailgate parties and cheer for their local teams.
Try it again.
We don’t have to “take it.” We can choose not to attend these events. I have chosen not to attend NFL games.
After this week, they lost a half century of my being a fan.
I will try to watch the Anthem of the first race where they have All-American spectators. It should be epic.
