According to a trusted source, Gugino told the officers, "you're going to arrest me, and I'm going to take you to the Supreme Court" before the push and fall incident with the two Buffalo officers. Then, as the 57 officers started moving the line forwards to secure the plaza, on orders from above, Martin Gugino began deliberately walking towards the officer line, directly into it, presumably to effectuate his plan of being arrested. Instead, the officers yelled at him to move out of the way and pushed him back when he did not listen. The push caused Gugino to trip over his feet, and he fell backward, hitting his head on the pavement.

Slipping Jimmy.
Sound like he made a credible threat against the officer(s) to take them to the Supreme Court.
When his radical leftist tendencies were discovered, his online presence vanished from the internet. Can you say “Set Up”?
Proof that old people can be sacks of ****.
You mean like scrubbed clean with a cloth?
Search fails again. Not the first or last time. Sometimes it works.
It’s all goodman.
hehehe... better call saul
Saul Goodman...
Saul Good.
The words and actions of the protester do not excuse the needless actions of the police.
The measure of a civilization is how it treats its weakest members.
Words to ponder.
You think that qualifies as a "credible threat"? Am I missing a sarc tag?
Good Lord.
If I were to be in that position (which I wouldn’t be, I know my limitations as I get older) I’d probably fall down too. Not as nimble as I used to be.
The needless actions of the police?
The push caused Gugino to trip over his feet, and he fell backward, hitting his head on the pavement?
???
If the guy was just standing there the push wouldn’t have created the problem .
The guy was backing up and in my opinion he tripped on his own, not because of the officer
My point exactly. No offence to you intended, but a 75 year old man who is ‘threatening’ to take someone to court is not an immediate physical threat to 20-50 well armed, physically fit cops.
The correct response of the cops to this older man should have been more like, “Excuse me, we have work to do.”
Knocking him off balance was not needed.
Also, if you or I had done that to the old man then the very same cops would arrest us right after they beat the sh!t out of us.
See post #16.
You do that!
As a black belt since age 17, a long long time ago. I know
many a technique to sweep, trip, throw a person to the ground, and that fall was not typical. Chevy Chase did much more honest prat falls for comedy.
I think the whole thing looked staged.
Besides, when you see 50 cops do you attack them and taunt
them without a motive. You put yourself in harms way for a reason. Like to sue for money.
I don’t believe the push the officer gave him would cause him to fall down.
I believe he fell down all on his own
