The news out of Seattle is that Antifa has captured a seven-block area in central Seattle that they've dubbed the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ for short.
Given the protests (read: riots) across the country over the past two weeks and the feckless (at best) handling of said riots by leftist mayors and governors, that Seattle permitted this to occur is not surprising.
Seattle's Mayor, Jenny Durkan all-but encouraged the takeover of her city when she proclaimed:
Keeping demonstrations peaceful must be a joint effort between our community members and law enforcement. I am hopeful that tonight, with these operational changes, our city can peacefully move forward together.
Of course, these operational changes were "letting these thugs overrun her city and confiscate a seven-block section of the Capital Hill district of Seattle."
Seattle, along with Portland and other hard-left run cities, has long been a cesspool of minimally tepid, if not enthusiastic support for Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
While my friends on social media are clamoring for the president to send in the National Guard and reclaim the city, I believe that a different tack is in order — let the people of Seattle stew in their own excrement. Really.
You see, the challenge in our current debate (which is not really a debate, because whenever facts are presented, the left shuts down dialogue and lobs the ever present term "racist") is that the media have glorified the most heinous of acts in urban centers throughout the country in the name of justice. But it's not about justice. It's about rubbing raw the sores of discontent, as Saul Alinsky asserted in Rules for Radicals. Rubbing these sores, as their tactic goes, energizes the most radical elements of the movement.
Seattle suburbanites have been tacitly down with the struggle,

That exactly what I said last night.
Let them stew in the soup they have created.
There are two important points that seem to be missing from the discussions I’ve seen about what’s happening in Seattle.
First of all the Constitution guarantees every citizen of the United States a Republican form of government. This includes those citizens who are unfortunate enough to reside in this occupied territory. American citizens living in the United States of America can not allowed to be subject to the authority of a rapper/warlord.
Second of all the Governor of Washington, Seattle’s mayor and its city council are all on the side of Antifa and support what’s taking place in the occupied territory. Do we really expect them to take action to assure the constitutional rights of people who live in CHAZ?
Before president Trump takes the necessary step of removing the Antifa agitators who have seized territory within our country, he is going to have to remove the governor of Washington and the mayor and city council of Seattle.
Most of the mayor’s staff probably slum it as Antifa knowing they can’t get arrested. Would not be surprised if the Mayor herself puts on a mask once in a while and feels the Bern.
I agree with the title. hell with them. They got their selves into it. Let them get themselves out.
Do you remember the movie A Day without Mexicans basically underscoring the hardship one faces when there are no folks south of the border to work service jobs here. Well, the police nationally might want to consider an announced one day walkout, A Day without Police, and the defund advocates can figure out how much they want to cut while their cities burn that day.
Seattle wants to be Madison, Wisconsin.
‘zactly...
I say....Let ‘em Crash!
Oh BS. What "hardship"? It was a great day no problems for me.
Which City will be next to be written off? New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angles.
Yesterday a reported asked the governor about what was going on in Seattle. He said he didn’t know anything about it.
Bug. Click on my link then click on the wiki: Did you mean link.
Or Google capitol Hill Seattle wiki
Here is first sentence.
Capitol Hill is a densely populated residential district in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is one of the city’s most prominent nightlife and entertainment districts and is the center of the city’s LGBT and counterculture communities.
They essentially have the following choices:
1) Do nothing
2) Appeal to their city appointed (Police Chief) and elected officials to do their jobs and enforce laws equally and take back the neighborhood streets
3) Bring a recall action to the elected officials
3) Take action into their own hands and raise their own neighborhood militia - vigilantism
4) Move
who is to do that? Not the SPD, not the KCSO. Inslee won’t send in WSP or NG.
Let Seattle enjoy the anarchy.
RE: Seattle wants to be Madison, Wisconsin.
Are you saying the government in Madison, Wisconsin has been controlled by Antifa for some time? When did that happen?
:Washington, Michigan, Minnesota parts of Illinois and a few unknown rural regions are on our northern border.”
Northern border of what? Washington, Minnesota, and Michigan all share a border with Canada, but not Illinois.
They can go visit their elected officials
If retaking those seven blocks isn’t a priority for the city of Seattle, why would it be for the federal government?
