Wolf on Mask Requirement for Businesses – “They’re Not Required.”
Coal Region Canary ^ | 06092020 | Coal Region Canary

We previously discussed the double-talk from the administration of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on the issue of masks. Are they required or not?

Getting a straight answer from anyone with any sort of authority – either the Governor himself or Health Secretary Rachel Levine – is basically impossible.

Instead of giving a simple yes or no answer, anyone asking usually gets a lecture on the importance of masks. That’s the importance of masks, according to them, of course.

You can do a simple internet search on whether cloth face masks are effective at preventing anything and you’ll get conflicting results. One doctor says yes. Another says no. Some even say they’re more dangerous than not wearing a mask.

Remember, the pandemic response started in March. But the masking order from the Health Dept. didn’t go into effect until April 21.

Well, on Monday, we finally got a straight answer from the Governor on this … kinda.

All I can say is the virus started here in Asia.

Where everyone wears a mask.

Everyone.

It is basically eradicated here.

Just saying.

your argument for masks contradicts itself... people wear masks, yet the virus still spread... people wear masks, now it is eradicated... what are you just saying.

I have been watching Korean baseball games each morning, and you are right. People do wear masks.

Not the players, but the coaches, the umpires, bat boys, cheerleaders, etc.

They wear them down under their noses. And under their chins. And around their necks.

Biggest friggin’ joke ever!

Wolf is taking the PA pubbie congress critters to court fighting them over re-opening.

It does not matter who wins in court, the fact that the gubbernor wants to keep PA closed will not only ensure a Trump victory in PA but we will take back all of the flipped congress critters in the US House from 2018.

I can’t stand wearing a mask and having to breathe in what I just exhaled. Sometimes I don’t feel well after having to wear one for a long time. I also can’t wear my glasses because they get fogged up when I wear a mask. I take it off the second I’m out the door of a store where masks are required. I’m glad I’m not a store employee who has to wear one all day.

It's not healthy to breath your own exhalation - what's up with these supposed Doctors insisting on this.

“Migrant workers living in dorms make up the remaining 444 cases.”

There seems to be more to this story.

:)

Oh can I ever relate! and your description certainly indicates perhaps it’s more unhealthy wearing a mask than not.....

‘what are you just saying.’

he’s speaking gibberish, so he’s actually communicating nothing; what he wants to say is that masks work so well, the disease is eradicated, so therefore we must continue to wear them so the thing that was eradicated does not reradicate itelf...look, he’s got me speaking gibberish too; reradicate...?

If you love the mask because you think it will “save you”, you must suspend logic and reason, as well as reality. I see it, hear it and read it every day ...

All I am saying is that for SOME reason, Asia has seemed to be remarkably good at containing this disease, for some reason.

What is different?...

‘the fact that the gubbernor wants to keep PA closed will not only ensure a Trump victory in PA’

dems outnumber pubs by nearly a million here in PA, with a surge of first time voters which will certainly skew left; what Wolf does or does not do says nothing about how the vote will go in November...talk of certain Trump victory is just that, talk...

Biggest numbers of confirmed cases in Pennsy are areas with “migrants” (although I’m guessing Singapore’s are not illegals).

But nobody stateside seems willing to discuss it.

On a side note, how do you like VietNam? A co-worker is thinking of retiring and moving there to join her son & daughter-in-law. She has nothing but nice things to say about the place.
