Watching in real time as Seattle descends into anarchy

Seattle has been making big news in the last couple of days. The first major story emerged Tuesday when police ceded an entire neighborhood to Antifa and Black Lives Matter, representatives of which barricaded a large segment of the Capitol Hill neighborhood and declared the area an “autonomous” community, separate from Seattle itself. The second newsworthy story occurred when thousands of leftist protesters led by Black Lives Matter and Antifa entered City Hall shortly after midnight on Wednesday, demanding that Mayor Jenny Durkan (a Democrat) resign.

On Tuesday, the police in Seattle’s Eastern District had initially battled with the rioters, using tear gas and flashbangs. Eventually, recognizing that anything short of a military-style defense was a waste of police time and put police lives at risk, the police abandoned the Eastern Precinct. They shredded important and confidential documents, boarded up the windows, and walked away, leaving the people whom they serve to the mob’s mercy.

If those idiots in Seattle think that group will stay within their little enclave, I think they are in for a huge surprise.

Boeing and other big corporations have played and winked at this kind of evil for awhile; they will rue the day.

We’re headed to the Seattle area this Saturday. Fortunately it is a “big” area. This is in a tiny part of it. They could torch this whole area and it would just be a black smoke plume coming from one of the little squares.

If Seattle survives this, it could become a Republican stronghold this November. The left has taken over the D party there, and even D’s leave that sort of leftism as they mature. Well, most of them do. The rest we call “gray ponytails”.

I worked in Seattle a lot in the early and mid 70s. It was such a good place — aircraft, lumber and shipping industries provided so many good, high-paying jobs. Then the Democrats and commies took over.

This is going to cause more of them to flee to Idaho. Stay away!

These people are really not idiots. If they try to spread very far, they will be shot and killed. They are in friendly territory and they know it.

Yes, Boise has a socialist mayor. Ultra sad.

I’m not terribly fond of the putative Republican governor, either.

Yeah I lived there in the late 80’s and it wasn’t too bad. Except for the daily rain, it was a nice place. .... Now, I would never go there. They’ve went to the dark side. CA infested and infected it big time. Now they are coming after TX.

I attended a business conference in downtown Seattle about seven years ago. It was awful. I’d never seen so many bums, addicts and slackers in one place in my life.

Build a siege wall around those areas, cut off all power and water. They won’t last long.

“If one lives in this utopian autonomous area, does one have to pay and taxes?”

My guess is that at some point leaders of the movement will announce no taxes are due until social justice has been won.

Otherwise, it is not fair.
