“The martyrdom of George Floyd gave the American experience a moment of national anguish,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Tuesday, including the Minnesotan who died in police custody among her list of “names of martyrdom.”
At a press conference introducing Democrats’ “Justice in Policing Act,” Pelosi said that she and her colleagues knelt for more than eight minutes on Monday because Floyd’s death was “a continuation of some horror” that has been long-present in America:

When I saw the white horse drawn hearses on the news I thought that the Queen Of England had passed away during my afternoon nap. But it was the funeral for the martyred George Floyd.
Still can’t get over all the phony adulation for this convicted thug. Not only was he convicted of assault with a weapon in the past he was high on drugs at the time of his passing. The man spent, I believe, at least 10 years in prison. I get the horror of the way he died but saluting his coffin, horse drawn gold plated coffin and the wailing tears for this person was as phony as it could possibly be. What a shameless spectacle for all to see.

A royal funeral for a thug. Yeah, this country really has gone to sh*t!
Ask her about the dead white guy from Dallas who had an officer kneel on his neck and kill him in 2016? What was the rationality behind that?
In that case captured on body cam footage that was suppressed for three years, the surrounding officers all mock and cheer and laugh at the white guy as he’s dying. They rib him saying “oh mom I don’t want to get up I’m gonna go back to sleep”. Several times on the body cam audio officers can be heard asking “he’s not dead is he?” “did he just die”.
Never once do they check his pulse or inspect his pupils. They even have a shady doc inject him with a sedative who also does not check his pulse breathing or pupils. This is after he’s already dead.
The ONE THING I can say about the Dems, they are usually good at Political Theater. This time they were caught out using an African symbol and their modern day ‘slaves’ were triggered. May it happen many more times before November.

I noticed the more over the top references lately to George Floyd as a “martyr” by some of the more dramatic commentators in the media and on the streets. I can go with “victim” of a overly aggressive or brutal police officer. But let’s not go overboard with the Mother Theresa thing. I hardly think when Mr Floyd decided to pump himself up with fentanyl and other drugs that day and go out and try to pass a counterfeit bill, and resist arrest, that his intent was to get himself killed by police to strike a blow for freedom. That does not make the policeman any less guilty for his actions nor does it make Mr Floyd a martyred saint. This is about the real criminality of a police officer not about the imagined sanctity of a his career criminal suspect.
