Republican state Rep. Nancy Mace will face off against incumbent Rep. Joe Cunningham (D) in South Carolinas 1st Congressional District this November.
Cunningham ran unopposed in the Democratic primary Tuesday, while Mace was declared the victor of the GOP primary by The Associated Press with a 33-point lead with just over 25 percent of precincts reporting.
Cunninghams seat is a top target for the GOP after the Democrat flipped the district by just more than 1 point in 2018. The district went for President Trump by 13 points in 2016, giving Republicans hope that higher turnout will help unseat Cunningham.
Mace, the first woman to graduate from The Citadel military academy, has been touted for years as a rising star within the Republican Party. She has been featured in the National Republican Congressional Committees Young Guns program and received the endorsement of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). She also has been buoyed by a hefty advertising campaign from the conservative Club for Growth.
Still, Cunningham is expected to put up a tough fight in his bid for a second term. Hes raised $3.7 million since the beginning of the cycle and had $2.6 million in the bank as of late May. And the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) said it is confident he will win in November.

Cunningham (D) won't know what's hit him...
We need to making a list of candidates worthy of our support - financial.
We can’t support all the worthy candidates but together we can make a dent.
They were trying to recruit my law partner for this seat. He would have been Uber solid as well.
Voted for Nancy yesterday. Actually, Landing was the Establishment candidate. Lets hope the Reps can come together and defeat Cunningham. Turnout should be much better in 2020, a Presidential election year.
Trump won this district by 13 in 2016, Cunnyham, the one term demonRAT congress critter, will be looking for a new yob in January 2021.
Freeper HELP needed here in CA-48
Michelle Steel has a great shot at taking back the seat held by Dana Rohrabacher.

Yep, They just need a decent candidate. Mace is the right candidate for the job. Voters will soon see it.
The Democrat voted for impeachment, he is done!
Bump for help.
Thanks - we need to be keeping a list.
Mace is already getting a lot of help from the GOP.
SC-1 is the GOP’s number 1 target. Millions will be spent there.
She is amazing!
Thank you. She is a great candidate.
What are people saying about her locally? Do they like her?
I became aware of her when she was the SC organizer for Trump in the 2016 primaries. As an original Trump supporter myself, I want to see loyal Trump supporters in Congress.
I stood outside one of the polling places holding a Mace sign for several hours. People in cars and on bikes signaled their approval. If we have a decent turnout in 2020, Nancy will defeat Cunningham who voted for impeachment.
Thanks for the report!
I look forward to following her career.
This should be one of the seats we take back in South Carolina. Excellent nominee against a guy way too leftist for his seat (who partly won because of the Mark Sanford mess).
I recall she ran against Graham one time and was a preferred choice to main challenger Lee Bright.
Top 5 takeover seat.

In the regular Senate race (Republican Perdue) , Jon Lossoff appears to have passed 50% and thus avoids a rat runoff.
In GA 7 (GOP Open) Rat who almost won last time will face a rat runoff, sadly not with the AOC endorsed candidate with the surname of “Islam”. Dr. and Veteran Rich McCormick is the GOP nominee.

In the Governor’s race the establishment rat choice beat the Sanders candidate, incumbent Jim Justice easily won the GOP primary.
Nevada
In NV-3, only 70% reporting but Businessman and ex pro-wrestler “Big Dan” Rodimer is up over 10 points on Former State Treasurer Dan Schwartz, a surprise to me though both raised an equal amount of money. This is a seat we can get back. I figured Schwartz a stronger choice.
In NV-4
A less likely prospect but possible. Only 55% in, Former State Assymb. Jim Marchant up narrowly on insurance agency owner Sam Peters, Former Miss Nevada Lisa Sutton a distant third.
Dan Schwartz ran in the GOP primary for Governor against Adam Paul Laxalt in 2018, but had a fiasco of a showing: 71%-9% (!) He should’ve run for reelection as Treasurer in 2018 (Dems won the open seat by a fraction of 1%).

There is belief that rats voted in the GOP primary.
