She’s referring to the year 1619, when the first slaves apparently set foot in America. The 1619 Project ridiculously asserts that America was founded to be a slave nation because the Founders feared Great Britain would end slavery.
Wasn’t that 1619 book that won the Pulitzer ridiculed for its inherent inaccuracy?
