Multiple members of the National Guard who responded to the DC riots have now tested positive for coronavirus.
There were 1,300 D.C. National Guard members called in to contain the riots that destroyed large portions of the city.
Politicians and pundits were quick to attack shutdown protesters for endangering people during a pandemic, while promoting, endorsing, and encouraging the race riots of George Floyds death.
Speaking to McClatchy, a spokeswoman for the National Guard confirmed there are now multiple confirmed cases, but did not specify how many.
We can confirm that we have had COVID-19 positive tests with the DCNG, said D.C. National Guard spokeswoman Air Force Lt. Col. Brooke Davis. The safety and security of our personnel is always a concern, especially in light of the COVID-19 era.
Two members of the Nebraska National Guard who were deployed in response to riots also tested positive for the virus.
Nearly all members of the National Guard are expected to leave DC by Wednesday, but those who have tested positive for the virus will have to remain until they are cleared for travel.
All Guardsmen who are suspected to be at high risk of infection or have tested positive for COVID-19 during demobilization will not be released from Title 32 orders until risk of infection or illness has passed, Davis said.
Members of the Air and Army National Guard with no, or low risk of exposure, who present symptoms of infection one to 14 days after release from orders will contact their unit, she said.
“””” but those who have tested positive for the virus will have to remain until they are cleared for travel. “”””””””””
Come for the riots.
Stay for the KungFlu.
Wait. Which virus are we talking here? Corona or liberalism?
Sounds like maybe 10 in a thousand tested positive. Were they tested before they left for DC?
This is stupid.
Did they test everyone in the mob....cuz that’s what it was.
Unless there are 1,300 guard members hospitalized, then “nevermind”!
Testing positive, so what? Do they have symptoms? Are they sick? If I catch something with no symptoms and don’t feel sick, then I don’t care about it anyway.
The very next thread down says “Asymptomatic spread of coronavirus is very rare, WHO says”
There ya go!
Did these Guard have it BEFORE they went? Were they tested BEFORE they went?
Did these Guard catch it from OTHER GUARDSMAN?
Without these details, this story could be BULLSHIRT!
#CamouflageLivesMatter - but not to the globalist left.
All Lives Matter to decent Americans.
and the next posted thread right under this one is:
Asymptomatic spread of coronavirus is very rare, WHO says
so WHO knows how long they were positive.
so much for, you can’t catch it in crowds
trying to rationalize much?
NG are tested before they deploy and while they are deployed.
NG are composed of all ages, not just young bucks and does.
p.s., the WHO walked back their statement - which we know is incorrect, since family members are the ones most likely to catch CCPVirus from an asymptomatic within the family. Diamond Princess victims caught it from asymptomatic crew; nursing home victims from asymptomatic caregivers, and air travel passengers from someone seated near them - something we’ve known from the beginning
Hm. We were called up here in TX, and my unit went down to Houston. Out of 1-2 thousand people outprocessing where we were, only FIVE tested positive (antibody blood test). But, we were never told if those were active cases or past ones.
We were told if we did test positive, we had two choices. Stay at a hotel in Houston for two weeks on crappy SAD pay (State Active Duty), or go home and self-quarantine, but no pay.
