If the Democrats cave to far-left ideals and become the party of defunding the police, President Trump will win reelection in November, Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen said Tuesday.
In an interview on "America's Newsroom" with host Sandra Smith, Thiessen noted that while party leadership and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden are trying to mitigate the issue, he would be going against his own constituents.
"Well, first of all, if this becomes an election between Donald Trump standing for 'law and order' and [the Democratic Party] defunding the police, Donald Trump wins. Period," he stated.

"This is a third rail for the Democratic Party and Joe Biden is trying to manage the issue. But, the problem is that he's going against the will of his base, which is for defunding the police..." Thiessen explained. "This is what the Democratic base wants. They want to defund the police. And Joe Biden's going to have a real hard time managing that."
Calls to defund or disband police departments have been amplified in the weeks of nationwide protest and civil unrest following the death — recorded on video — of 46-year-old George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police officers. One officer knelt on Floyd's neck for almost nine minutes, staying on him even after he lost consciousness.

But, they will definitely give a wink and nod to the mob, and if they are actually elected, they will immediately start pushing their war on cops to hell with the real issues that matter to almost everyone else. That’s the playbook they used in 2018, when they didn’t talk about impeachment, but did nothing but impeachment when they got elected.
Actually they can. It doesn't matter how many vote, it is who counts the votes that matters. In places such as Pa, Michigan or Wisconsin, where the election is likely to be close some concentrated ballot fraud in certain counties can tip the balance and the election. Biden is a senile boob and crook, but the rats know he has to win. For them it is existential. For the GOP not very much.
