Five-time Major League Baseball All-Star Torii Hunter says theres one team he never wanted to play for due to the racist abuse he had to endure from its fans when he was there as a visiting player.
I had a no-trade clause in everything I had not to go to Boston, Hunter said on Golic and Wingo on ESPN Radio.
Hunter, who played for the Twins, Angels and Tigers in an MLB career that spanned nearly two decades until he retired after the 2015 season, said he routinely heard racial epithets from some Red Sox fans.
Ive been called the n-word in Boston more than 100 times, he said last week. All the time. From little kids, and grownups sitting right next to them didnt say anything.

Torii, low class people will always exist.
It may shock you, but Whites have to put up with assholes too.
The most racist baseball city is a far left one...
Fun fact:
Boston 2016:
Hillary: 81.7%
Trump: 14.2%
Which makes it one of the most anti-Trump places in the country.
Can we think of another one? Bueller?
Nothing has changed in Democrat cities, when it comes to race.
I am very skeptical of this claim.
Well I guess the Governor of Mass will have to come out and say all the baseball fans in Boston there are racists and denounce them.
Yes this seems strange doesn’t it? Boston Prides itself on being so liberal. And yet this is the city where a black player experienced the most racial harassment.
Allow me to answer my own question.
Minneapolis 2016:
Trump: 12%
Hillary: 79%
So it turns out that Boston and Minneapolis are close to tied for the most anti-Trump cities in the country.
By the way, I could not find this information ANYWHERE and surprise surprise the Minnesota election results page is down.
BUT I found this spreadsheet from the Minnesota Secretary of State and added up all the Minneapolis precincts:
And that means Minneapolis was even more anti-Trump than the San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward metro area.

Good point. But dont tell it to the idiot left until later..
he’s been called that at least 1000 times by his so called “brothers”.....somebody ask him that...
Suburbs and most of Minnesota were for Trump, just not the inner cities and Indian reservations.
How did he have such a long career if everyone was so racist?
Boston outfielder Ellis Burks I think it was, one had an experience where officers drew guns on him in a situation that didn’t seem to warrant it.
Many black players who played for the Red Sox were loved in Boston.
Fans in general try to mess up visiting teams.
Source is Huffington Post so we know the paper printing it is owned by an air head.
If its true.
Delino Deshields of Cleveland says he regrets not kneeling for the anthem when he was in Texas. It’s a virtual guarantee baseball players will take up this shit when play resumes. And I’ll be done. This year has shown me I can live without baseball.
===They held onto a critical mass of white basketball players longer than any other team, too. (though they WERE very skilled basketball players. [Danny Ainge, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale]) ====
This is DEAD wrong. The Celtics were the first team to play a black starting 5 and have a black head coach. They had several white stars in the 80s, but they must have been great because they won 3 Championships and had a good chance to win 6. That’s meritocracy, not racism.
The Red Sox were the last team to integrate, and owner Tom Yawkey had racism claims tied to him. But he was from South Carolina, not Boston.
