I realize that certain press outlets will probably want to paint this as in-fighting between J.K. Rowling and myself, but that is really not what this is about, nor is it whats important right now. While Jo is unquestionably responsible for the course my life has taken, as someone who has been honored to work with and continues to contribute to The Trevor Project for the last decade, and just as a human being, I feel compelled to say something at this moment.
Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I. According to The Trevor Project, 78% of transgender and nonbinary youth reported being the subject of discrimination due to their gender identity. Its clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm.
I am still learning how to be a better ally, so if you want to join me in learning more about transgender and nonbinary identities check out The Trevor Projects Guide to Being an Ally to Transgender and Nonbinary Youth. Its an introductory educational resource that covers a wide range of topics, including the differences between sex and gender, and shares best practices on how to support transgender and nonbinary people.
To all the people who now feel that their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you. I really hope that you dont entirely lose what was valuable in these stories to you. If these books taught you that love is the strongest force in the universe, capable of overcoming anything; if they taught you that strength is found in diversity, and that dogmatic ideas of pureness lead to the oppression of vulnerable groups; if you believe that a particular character is trans, nonbinary, or gender fluid, or that they are gay or bisexual; if you found anything in these stories that resonated with you and helped you at any time in your life then that is between you and the book that you read, and it is sacred. And in my opinion nobody can touch that. It means to you what it means to you and I hope that these comments will not taint that too much.
Love always,
Dan
Here’s the question I would ask Daniel Radcliffe. Could a transgender woman die from testicular cancer, or prostate cancer? I’d love to hear him try to talk his way through that question.
Another stupid jerk heard from.
He’s learning to be an “ally”.
See you at the revolution, punk.
Can someone translate this article into English for me?
There really is nothing more to say other than, they need help. To claim they are actually women is incorrect. Mr Radcliffe is fully aware of this fact, yet lacks the courage to say it. His words are meaningless.
Translation: He wants work and he’s talking out of his arse.
Covid, among other things, has proven that a central leftist methodology is to manufacture a panel or 'association' of so called experts or professionals, whose reputation is primarily manufactured by the same circles (acting awards are another example of a circular applause/awards racket) who will say anything the left wants them to say (often because they are devout lefties in the first place who value the agenda above the truth) to further the lefty agenda, and then they bully the public with the shaming 'do you pretend to be smarter than the experts and the science?'
But the experts are insincere, and there is either no actual science (expert 'opinion') or fake science behind their proclamations, and the science and the expertise and their proclamations change as quickly as the latest leftist agenda or sub-agenda needs. (Mask, no mask, mask, no mask, surfaces bad, surfaces not that bad, aerosolized not aerosolized etc.)
It’s not a matter of ‘expertise,’ Daniel, it’s a matter of opinion.
I theorize that they have a brief moment of sanity where they realize they chopped off their wedding tackle
In a thousand years, if archeologists discover his body, they will correctly identify him as a man, no matter the name engraved on the tombstone.
I thinks Rowlings suggested that only biological women can menstruate. And Radcliffe, a science-denier, takes issue.
Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people... This is laughable. What identity? That you are somebody else? Whats dignified about a man prancing around in a dress and heels? Funny? Yes! Absurd? Bien sur! Confusion about who and what you are is a pathological mental condition that may have any number of causes, but it is not something to be celebrated, and forced on society by ersatz speech police, who appear on the big screen pretending to be something they are not. Why dont you whip out your magic wand Daniel, and make it all better.
He is a gay male.
Having you say it doesn’t make it so,
So sit back down and keep counting your money. No matter how many movies you have been in, this discussion is not about you.
He is a faggot!
“Transgender women are women.”
Well then. So would you sleep with one of these “women” Daniel? If not, why not?
Curious minds want to know. Also we are so glad you spoke out. When J. K. Rowling share her thoughts with us I have been on pins and needles waiting to hear what you had to say.
[Judith:] I do feel, Reg, that any Anti-Imperialist group like ours must reflect such a divergence of interests within its power-base.
[Reg:] Agreed. Francis?
[Francis:] Yeah. I think Judiths point of view is very valid, Reg, provided the Movement never forgets that it is the inalienable right of every man
[Stan:] Or woman.
[Francis:] Or woman to rid himself
[Stan:] Or herself.
[Francis:] Or herself.
[Reg:] Agreed.
[Francis:] Thank you, brother.
[Stan:] Or sister.
[Francis:] Or sister. Where was I?
[Reg:] I think youd finished.
[Francis:] Oh. Right.
[Reg:] Furthermore, it is the birthright of every man
[Stan:] Or woman.
[Reg:] Why dont you shut up about women, Stan. Youre putting us off.
[Stan:] Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg.
[Francis:] Why are you always on about women, Stan?
[Stan:] I want to be one.
[Reg:] What?
[Stan:] I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me Loretta.
[Reg:] What?!
[Loretta:] Its my right as a man.
[Judith:] Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
[Loretta:] I want to have babies.
[Reg:] You want to have babies?!
[Loretta:] Its every mans right to have babies if he wants them.
[Reg:] But you cant have babies.
[Loretta:] Dont you oppress me.
[Reg:] Im not oppressing you, Stan. You havent got a womb! Wheres the fetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
[Loretta:] [crying]
[Judith:] Here! I Ive got an idea. Suppose you agree that he cant actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobodys fault, not even the Romans, but that he can have the right to have babies.
[Francis:] Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
[Reg:] Whats the point?
[Francis:] What?
[Reg:] Whats the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he cant have babies?!
[Francis:] It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
[Reg:] Symbolic of his struggle against reality.
Nope. Transgender women are men pretending to be women.
“professional health care associations”
Those associations have been hijacked by progressives who endorse and agitate for the lies of gender identity. Of course they are going to say transgender are the sex they identify with and not their biological sex.
>> Transgender women are women.
I have no idea WTF that’s supposed to mean
He’s probably not attracted to women. Good grief! What a messed up individual.
