A Kansas resident has tested positive for the coronavirus after attending a recent protest against police brutality, health officials announced on Friday.
Officials with the Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health Department said the person attended a protest in downtown Lawrence on May 31. They advised anyone who attended the demonstration to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms.
“Similar to what we would ask anyone who goes out in public right now, we are asking anyone who attended the recent protest to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and isolate if they become sick as well as call their healthcare provider for next steps,” said Informatics Director Sonia Jordan.

Here is the scare tactics. The incubation on average is 5.1 days. Is the fearless were correct with super spreaders and all the scary teens than June 4 would have seen a major uptick with exponential growth 5,6,7, and today with overwhelming of the medical system

They know the protests prove we can reopen for business and are trying to stop that.
Just call your church a peaceful protest for racial understanding and legally they can do nothing to stop it.

Not to say it wasn’t a nasty bug; it is.
But if the lag was never 14 days, then that was an exaggeration and fear mongering from the git-go.

I think many of the “researchers” signed some kind of letter supporting George Floyd protests...
After the Floyd protests, I am becoming of more skeptical of public health officials...I was skeptical of them before...
Some of them advised protesters to wear masks...
I don’t know of any public health official who advised people NOT to attend Floyd protests...
If any public health official were really worried about spread of Covid-19, he should have advised people not to attend protests...
It is very hard to maintain social distancing at most protests...It is not like going to some beach...
Didn’t officials tell us that we should maintain social distancing even if we wear masks?
People, who attended protests, decided to take chances...
They obviously did not want to wait for the vaccine...I believe that it is silly to stay home for next 12 months because there is no vaccine...
Officials, please cancel the restrictions on mass gatherings...Also cancel the restrictions on church services...
You cannot have those restrictions if you let Floyd protest to take place...
Officials, if you want people to take you seriously, you have to be consistent...
