House Democrats intend to go big in their coming legislation to tackle systemic racism and patterns of violence against African Americans a package responding to the killing of an unarmed black man by Minneapolis police exactly two weeks ago.
The legislation, while centered around criminal justice reform, will seek to address racial disparities well outside the realm of law enforcement, delving into issues as varied as health care, education and environmental justice.
The strategy advances the notion that the plague of police violence against African Americans as exposed in graphic fashion with the death of George Floyd last month is a symptom of problems much more ingrained and ubiquitous than police reform can fix by itself.
As protesters have flooded streets in scores of cities around the country, Democrats see a unique opportunity to confront the systemic racial disparities that pervade virtually every swath of American life.
We want to see this as a time where we can go forward in a very drastic way not incrementally, but in an important way to redress those problems, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday. We're talking a long way back and a lot of injustice in it all.

Fury is a fickle thing.
They’re gonna “tap into it” alright....just not the way they think.
You can add Mitt Romeny to the list of Senate Democrats, or he has even more sinister plans.
Even BLM leader Shaun Talcum X King couldnt get over the obvious truth: that all these prominent cases of blacks dying at the hands of white police officers have occurred in cities and states that have been run by Democrats for decades.
Uh..duh.. the Democrats had 50 years in Minneapolis to improve the lives of blacks in healthcare and education in crime and why didn’t they get anything done huh
“Theyre gonna tap into it alright....just not the way they think.”
My thoughts, too.

And YOU, BIDEN, SCHUMER, WATERS, NADLER et al have been there FOREVER and did NOTHING!
It is unfortunate the man passed away. . .but his rap sheet, toxicology report, etc. doesn’t begin to give him hero status. A role model for the youth . . .not.
Create a problem...act like you are fixing it. Rinse ...repeat.
We all know this is part of the fourth year get out the vote effort.
The fault lies squarely with the cops, and the Democrats who run that city and state.
It has nothing to do with Trump, nor the people who voted for him.
You’ve done great so far, Granny Nan. YOU gave us this mess. Thanks.
Right on time...
It’s the progressive city of Minneapolis’ rendition of Dueling Banjos.
The left is organized, and protests and riots and looting and destruction, are their methods, in order to force-change the country into their ideal society.
So, the left is organized.
Nobody is pushing back. We get words and platitudes.
So, where is the REAL America? What about the protests and marches and ideals which made this country the greatest that’s ever been? Who will get it going and when? It needs to get started soon, before we find ourselves in Venezuela or Cuba. Time to get going!
Show me that violence pattern data. And while you are at it dont forget to gather up the latest black on black, black on white and black on police violence and murder data.
I don’t see the fury anywhere else but in the media and the “woke” army on social media. The protest in DC yesterday was underwhelming although the media has tried to spin attendance figures much higher than one might discern from photos. However, I do think that the police should look into the restraint methods that have been involved with these deaths and come to a safer alternative. I do not see ‘fury’ in the average American citizen. As a matter of fact I see anger in average people that BLM is being portrayed as a credible organization in the media and by large corporations. If, when, and how large the backlash will be remains to be seen.
Theyre gonna tap into it alright....just not the way they think.

exactly. that’s why their “million” person protest was a bust. Do these cultist really think the average swing state voter is FOR THIS? For defunded and attacking cops?
lol
Okay.
