The police chief of Lowell, Michigan, was forced to resign Thursday after using a Facebook post to praise four citizens who armed themselves to oppose looters.

WOOD reports Chief Steven Bukala posted a photo of the four armed citizens and wrote, “So these fine young men called me today. They wanted to exercise their Second Amendment rights and walk down Main Street. They saw what happened in Grand Rapids. They said it’s not going to happen here. We have your backs. I thanked them for letting me know they were in town and to call if they see something.”

In Seattle (I think?) there was a man and a woman with the Black Panthers in the march - they had AR’s hanging off their chests. I liked it even though I don’t care for the Black Panthers.

I wonder if the Seattle police chief also thanked them for the notice that they were going to be in town?

If armed citizens should — heaven forbid — BLAST some commie looter during commission of a felony, an arrest may ensue. It happens.

But the Framers provided for such an event!

For just about any crime, a “trial by jury” may be demanded. Your “peers” on the jury may find you not guilty even if you sure as hell did EXACTLY what they claim you did, right there in front of God and everybody, with video and witnesses. No matter how much the prosecutor wants you convicted, the jury can decide otherwise.

The jury is the last line of defense against injustice, and against unjust laws. By finding you not guilty, when you surely are, the jury is declaring that the law itself is wrong and should be repealed.

So an armed citizen is arrested for actively defending his neighborhood? Yeah, so? I’ll go before a jury to explain that one. You betcha.
