New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees apologized multiple times last week for his comments against kneeling during the national anthem. His wife, Brittany, followed it up with an apology of her own on Saturday.
In an Instagram post on the “Brees Dream Foundation” page, Brittany posted a message which featured two quotes from Martin Luther King Jr., and comments of her own that started with, “WE ARE THE PROBLEM.”
“I write this with tears in my eyes and I hope you all hear our hearts,” Brittany Brees wrote. “I have read these quotes and scripture 1000 times and every time I read it and the words sink into my heart. I think yes this is what it’s all about...Only until the last few days, until we experienced the death threats we experienced the hate… Did I realize that these words were speaking directly to us.. how could anyone who knows us or has had interactions with us think that Drew or I have a racist bone in our body? But that’s the whole point. Somehow we as white America, we can feel good about not being racist, feel good about loving one another as God loves us.
“We can feel good about educating our children about the horrors of slavery and history. We can read books to our children about Martin Luther King, Malcolm X., Hank Aaron, Barack Obama, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman.. and feel like we are doing our part to raise our children to love , be unbiased and with no prejudice,” Brittany Breez continued.

No, Brittany, you are the problem. Instead of having self-respect instead of always taking the blame and demanding others develop the ability to solve their own problem you enable a dependent, resentful impoverished people.

And now Drew Brees and his wife have squandered their credibility, stature and self-respect caving to these nincompoops and their pet angry mob. A wise man once told me, “If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything.” Drew should have made a stand.
Since she feel so much guilt maybe she needs to be blacked.
They already have vast wealth, FU money, as many put it.
They can walk away from everything and their offspring will enjoy perpetual wealth, unto the nth generation, with some competent investing and no personal or society-wide disasters.
Why they bother with this charade I don’t know.
Follow the money. The Breese’s know well the source of their income and would sell each other down the river to protect that source.

Having to recant truth in public is a hallmark of communist society. It is known as self-denunciation.
The media have become the equivalent of those local committees that made sure everyone in every town or city neighborhood was parrotting the party line. The penalty for speaking out was often a long vacation in Siberia, if you were that lucky.

The facts in your post: very upsetting. And in an activist group they would be slapped down with some other reasons. We white people should be studying and learning about all our faults. But it doesn’t go far in any other direction. I never want to blame the victim. But I read an analogy the other day, and found it absolutely true. But upsetting.
Someone posted on social media that having to be careful around a police Officer if you are black To avoid brutality is like having to be careful about your clothing as a woman to avoid rape. Which is exactly the same. On its face. Yes, both things can determine whether you get treated properly.
But here is the difference in the analogy: men won’t get raped even if they are topless at the beach or wear tight see through shorts. (Men being the “opposite” of women in the analogy). Whereas white people ALSO have to have great behavior around cops. My very polite low talking White teen son said something appropriate but his volume in speaking is so low that the cop thought he was being derogatory and called me up saying he was talking smack and had a bad attitude. Once I got there, I understood the situation. But it is not true that whites can be disrespectful to cops with no repercussions.
So, SHE likes the money too.
