After Drew Brees apologized multiple times last week for suggesting that NFL players who kneeled during the national anthem disrespected the country, his wife apologized as well.
Brittany Brees posted a lengthy message on Instagram that featured two quotes from Martin Luther King: in the end we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends,” and, “Not only will we have to repent for the sins of bad people, but we also will have to repent for the appalling silence of good people.”
Her own comments started with Brees writing, “WE ARE THE PROBLEM.”

We have heard stories from men and women we have known and loved for years about the racism that occurred in their lives stories that were never shared or talked about because somehow they were considered normal. We want to do better, we want to HEAR you, and we will fight for you because thinking we are not part of the problem is checking the box it means we are are not doing enough. It’s our job to educate ourselves. We are sorry.”

It reminds me of a time years ago when I visited a church on a “social justice” Sunday and the prayer of confession required me to confess to social sins I hadn’t committed. That kind of prayer is supposed to be general enough for a person to call to mind his own actual sins. This one didn’t. That and the whole gist of the service almost made me walk out. I’m not a fan of progaganda.

It is enough to question whether Brittany and Drew are really Christians. Do they worship money so much that they willingly adopt the arguments of godless cultural marxism in order to continue their future cash flow? When Christians submit to cultural marxists and adopt their language, I hope they remember 2 Corinthians 6:15 - “ What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?”
So, there are no grateful American patriots in the NFL? None? Not one that will proudly stand for this Nations Flag? All are traitors?
