Did anyone read the novel, “Black Like Me” by white journalist John Howard Griffin?

Normally I don’t find black face humorous. This sounds like the exception

This fellow here is pitch black. Not even most Africans are that dark.
He reminds me of a fictional character called Scwartz Pieter, seen in Scandinavia during Christmas time.
Only in the last four or five years have they been under PC pressure to stop it. I recall seeing a “Living Cake” photo of an actor wearing black make up as he lay on a table with a Christmas Cake on his belly. It was both hysterical and bizarre.
When someone cut the cake the actor would let out a little scream. All the cake eaters laughed about it. Im not making this up.
What was the alleged crime?
They attacked him because he identified as black. Very racist.
