One of the three former police officers charged with aiding and abetting the murder of George Floyd had a string of criminal offences and traffic violations before he became a cop.
Thomas Lane, 37, of St. Paul, was charged on Wednesday afternoon in relation to Floyd's death, which happened when he was on his fourth full-time shift as a police officer.
Before he joined the force, Business Insider revealed that Lane had racked up a slew of traffic violations and became an officer despite having a criminal record.

Did the heart attack Floyd suffered cause the shortness of breath, or did the shortness of breath cause the heart attack? It is next to impossible to repeatedly holler that you can not breathe if you can not breathe. The coroner attributed the cause of death to cardiac arrest.
The democrat controlled media dilberately miss portrayed Floyd as an innocent black who was being forceably restrained because he was black. He was arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 dollar bill .When actually he was resisting arrest and was a threat if not secured by not mentioning his size or reporting that Floyd was removed from a squad car because he was acting up under the influence of drugs and also later was discovered to have COVID 19. Which suggests his physical condition may have led to his death which the media turned into a murder change and a charge of serious abuse by police because of police efforts that were tried to get him who under control Check out

The results of politically induced miss reporting used earlier during and after the post Zimmmerman trial. Led to black gangs attacking non blacks found innocently traversing black neighborhoods and to a score of murders or life changing injuries and later attacks of theft and vandalism on local businesses as well as attacks and murders of police officers during that period
Correct. Kueng is black.
For one, breaking into a home and threatening a pregnant woman and he got 5 years for that. In the latest incident he was paying for his purchase with counterfeit money and the reason the cops were called.
This just shows me that the police departments are having a hard time finding quality people to full those positions.
If a counterfeiting ring was about to be exposed, you might be onto something.
If not, who hired him/who signed off on hiring a KNOWN psychopath?
That person or those persons should be sued for reckless endangerment and wrongful death.

Two armed robberies one where it was a home invasion held a pregnant woman at gun point and demanded money or drugs. Six drug convictions - I think meth & cocaine. In all the past criminal cases he served time. Then what prompted the arrest where he died resisting arrest, he was passing a counterfeit $20 bill, which he may or may not have been aware of.
But of course facts & logic no long matter in our modern entertainment driven hyper-emotional society. Hyper-emotion is much more entertaining then dull old facts!
Are the cops responsible for his death? Yes! It’s their responsibility to bring their arrest subjects in alive. They don’t they need to suffer the consequences, which in this case will likely be vengeance-driven severe.
Headline makes him sound like a monster, article makes it sound like he was a naughty teenager who had one wild party in his twenties.
The way this is phrased it implies that he has traffic violations, and in addition, he has committed serious crimes, not identified, that have resulted in a criminal record. I think what the author is trying to hid is that the traffic violations ARE the criminal record, which is pretty low on the scale.
Having said that, I agree that people who can’t or won’t drive responsibly are not prime material for the ranks of the police.

“... They dont they need to suffer the consequences, which in this case will likely be vengeance-driven severe. ... “ That should read “They need to suffer the consequences, which in this case will likely be vengeance-driven severe. .”
Yeah, I have seen that discussed. I have also read that taking care of this kind of thing would not be handled in public.
But I think there is a real possibility that Chauvin was a dirty cop and could have been leaned on to do this.
FYI, the establishment that Chauvin and Floyd worked at was burned to the ground on the first night of the riots.
There are just too many coincidences in the official story.
I read an unsourced claim that Floyd was arrested in Houston by Gerald Goines, the same cop who is under indictment for murder in the raid that killed 2 innocent people.
Another oddity in the case if true.
Anyone know if it’s true that two of thesecops were related by marriage? I heard the Asian cop and the one who killed Floyd were BIL.
More failure of government. And leftists always want to give government more power and control.
“He” being Chauvin, not Lane, in my rant...
It doesnt matter what Floyds previous record was. Chauvin was clearly in the wrong for what he did.
Do you know the number of deaths related to the arrest of unarmed black men that occur every year. It is something like 32. Now consider the infinitesimal chance that a death like the would occur in the circumstance where the cop and the victim actually knew each other.
There is something big that is being left out of official accounts of this story.
Interesting that Goines was a narcotics officer.
The mayor sets the policy. He should be considered as a conspirator. But he’ll be re-elected again — and again.
