NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has admitted that they were wrong in the way they handled Colin Kaepernick's protest against police brutality of black people, which ultimately led to the quarterback to be without a club.
The NFL has been locked in an ongoing debate with players over kneeling protests during the national anthem before the start of games, a practice popularised by quarterback Kaepernick in 2016 to protest racial injustice and police brutality.
Kaepernick filed a grievance against the league in 2017, claiming collusion as no teams signed him after he parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers. The NFL and Kaepernick settled in 2019.

I wait 50 years for the Chiefs to win a Super Bowl, then they start up this stuff again, including Mahomes and his GF on social media supporting the BLM propaganda. Ugh.
Oh, puleeze. There are (or were) pictures of Crappernick sitting out the Anthem many years before his muzzy girlfriend thought up the racist thing when people started calling out his disrespect and laziness.
Keep this nonsense up, NFL, and you’ll lose the last of the few fans who are still hanging around. You are ending your multi million dollar contracts by your own stupid behavior.
This is so so pandering. Maybe since according to the FBI records, since the blacks are in control of 26.9% of all crime in the US, with a population of 12.6% of the US total, maybe they should be led out in handcuffs before they kneel. If they are going to display unity, have the guts to go the whole rout.

I haven’t watched the NFL in years. Doesn’t appear I will in the near, or far, future for their politics that shouldn’t be there.

At least college footballers are amateur athletes who don’t get paid megabucks. Mostly worth watching, IMO.
But I hope all NFL stadiums are empty every game day and their overpaid behemoths are screaming “RACISM!!!” while kneeling in their overpriced Nike’s.
This is just all the more reason to not follow pro football anymore.

Look forward to more scripted behavior instead of competitive sport. I would not be surprised if they're working with the marketing folks from the television shows such as "American Ninja", "Tag", and the like. It's about selling television viewers to advertisers (yes, you are the product being sold) and the NFL knows who they hope to sell to...
...it's not you, so why watch?

If NFL players REALLY supported the cause, they should kneel whenever they get the ball, especially the quarterback if he’s not black.
That would be justice.
