Jim, Twenty years ago I mentored a young half black teen in So Cal (no father in life, mother in prison). All I did was treat him as my immigrant father (who made it to 7th grade before going to work) treated me. Taught him about dignity and respect. We did fun things but also did work things where I taught him basic skills. Planted a garden, went to shelters to help others, things my parents taught me. He is doing well now. Maybe there is a lesson in this. God bless!

In the Democratic party’s latest Socialist incarnation they must double down on the lie that Democratic/Marxism only wants to protect and improve the condition of Black People, while hiding their Senator Robert Byrd of Maryland, The D’s Majority Leader who for years,had been a GRAND KLEGEL in the KU KLUX KLAN(a recruiting position), and used the “N” word until the day he died. His name is still prominently displayed on freeways, dams, and memorials in Maryland. Why have these not been torn down by this most Democrat of states as in so many Red States?
Republicans provided the votes to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with a majority of Democrats including Al Gore’s father Democrat Senator Gore, a hard core segregationist, voting against it.
The Democrat Party had been the party of slavery in the Confederacy and “Pro-Choice”on slavery in the North, supporting the Missouri Compromise on Slavery.
During the Civil War General George McClellan, sacked by Lincoln for not fighting against the Confederacy, ran against him as a Democrat for President in 1864 on a peace agenda that would allow slavery to continue in the South.
The Klan was started by a former Confederate general,Nathan Bedford Forrest who was a Democrat. For the next 100 years the KLAN was the enforcing arm of the Democratic Party in the South to prevent former slaves from voting, to enforce segregation by law and intimidation,and continue the Tenant Farming of Cotton which was a form of slavery by a different name.
Much of this was in our lifetimes!!
The Democratic Party as founded, as it has existed in our lifetime, exists today by doing what it has always done. It exists through cleverly exploiting Black People by lies and hollow promises. They know that if African-Americans do receive a decent education, decent jobs, and the personal respect that comes with genuine independence these exploiters of two centuries will be seen for the vile liars and oppressors they have been and remain today.
When this happens Democrats will know their evil and bloody reign is finally over.This why Corey Booker and others who well knows everything I have written is true will never speak it.They value their investment in political power far above the welfare of those they represent.
This is why Donald Trump poses such a threat to them. He stands for jobs for African-Americans, for the dignity of work, the independence that comes with it, and the ability to build a strong and free civilization for their families.
