Utah National Guard confirms they were kicked out of DC hotel, mayor claims budget issue

The Utah National Guard confirmed Friday that 200 service members are being kicked out of hotels in the nation's capital as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser clashes with President Trump over the handling of the George Floyd protests in the city.

Bowser, who wants all non-D.C. troops out of the city, blamed the National Guard relocation on a budget issue and said the city will not pay for the accommodations — amid days of protests over racial injustice, some of which have been violent.

"Last night, we were informed that our service members would be relocated from their hotel rooms," the Utah National Guard said in a statement Friday.

Kinda sounds like an infringement of the 3rd amendment to me. Due to the civil unrest, those troops deserve a proper bed in a hostile environment.

Have the guard pitch tents on the white house grounds.
Problem solved.

It’s time to take back D.C. from the rioters, city government, and police. Clean out people like Bowser and institute martial law until the constituents become manageable by their own newly-elected Constitution-obeying officers. Should be done for every ghettoized population center.

Rumors have it that this “Million Rioter March” on Saturday is designed to storm the White House & burn it to the ground.

She’s worried about budget yet spends money painting the street. Ridiculous

I think Christ is about to rise to a standing position, just as He did in Acts, Chapter 7: Stephen’s death.

Acts 7:55-56. “But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus STANDING UP on the right hand of God.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man STANDING on the right hand of God.”

Why would Christ stand up from His seated position at the right hand of God? Judgement on the house of Israel for the murder of Stephen. They IGNORED John the Baptist’s death, they DEMANDED Christ’s death, and they COMMITTED the death of Stephen.
Acts Chapter nine begins the salvation of Paul and his APOSTLESHIP to the Gentiles. By Acts 28 Israel is blinded and set aside and will not have their eyes opened until the Tribulation.

I think He is about to rise again, to receive the CHURCH THE BODY OF CHRIST unto Himself and thus begins the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Tent up in Lafayette Park, surrounded by armed guards. Deny the rioters the use of the park that way.

I’m guessing those rooms are about $200 per night. Two troops per room means 100 rooms for a total of $20,000 per night.

The President should pay for the next 5 days out of his own pocket and then reimburse himself with his next paycheck. He was donating it anyway so it would turn out to be a donation for the security of DC.

It would have the added benefit of really driving the idiot libs completely “’round the bend” as the Brits say.

Or just not paying for them. Really I’m not sure how that went down. Last I heard she didn’t request the troops, they were brought by Trump. So how is the city getting the bill directly? Maybe I missed something but it sure seems abnormal all around.

Or let them stay in HIS hotel... for free.

They are guarding national monuments. If she tosses them out, any cleaning and repairs should be deducted t the money net paid by the Feds to finance her little city.

Which still doesn’t explain why the city is paying the bill up front.

On what authority? Were the rooms paid for or not?

I really am behind the times if a National Guard unit needs hotel rooms. Does the Army can own tents anymore?

OK I’m reading deeper. So apparently the city had rooms reserved for whatever. Somebody stuck the guard in those rooms, without getting approval, and she’s objecting. Honestly I’m with her. That’s just not cricket. At least get approval, or pay for them with national guard budget. Sucks for the guard how it’s all going down, but that’s military life for you. Always paying for the stupid actions of some REMF who didn’t bother to run the paperwork right.
