The Broward Chiefs of Police Association held a news conference Friday morning to show their solidarity with those who have been protesting in South Florida following the killing of George Floyd....
We, as an association, are sorry, Miramar Police Chief Dexter Williams said.
Williams said he spoke for all other police chiefs in Broward County by denouncing the actions of the officers involved....

And the city of Fort Lauderdale is paying medical bills for a woman injured because she was illegally protesting in the street.
Fake News in Miami hypes up the victim's.
None of them took President Trump's full remarks this morning. I think most of them gave us wall to wall coverage of An Sharpton yesterday.
“eradicate”? Poor choice of words. Sounds like “liquidate the kulaks”.
They’ll talk, but their unions will prevent any action that might reduce the incidence of bad police, and they all know it.
Try finding out which ones also work, in a kind of secret way, for agencies of the federal government. Then fire them.
What are they gonna use...wood chippers or guillotines?
Oh, this is RICH when you consider that it’s Broward County!
Good Grief!!
Im all for getting rid of bad LEOs, but Ive noticed that no one is talking about eradicating ANTIFA and other assorted rioters and looters.
You mean the ones that arrest people in the act of violating other peoples rights?
I fired a few peace officers with success. I also saved a few jobs when managers wanted to railroad someone they didn’t like.
In Cal we have something called The Peace Officers Bill of Rights since the late 70s. Granting detailed additional rights and further restricting management actions. Unions in Cal like LAPD, Corrections, and the CHP sure stronger than the management of those departments.
BUT it is possible to fire and officer.
The longer the officer has had a good record the harder to fire unless an egregious action occurred like kneeling on a neck when someone dies.
The unions typically have expert lawyers who specialize in police cases.
Management may have a commission or personnel board, as we did in the state.
Management attorneys may not be police case specialist. Unlike the union attorneys, they may represent a wide variety of city or state employees.
The key for me is a thorough investigation, some manager assigned to oversee the progress of the case. Persistence. When you lose a case you can always take it to court. Every step is appealable by both sides. Too often management rolls over and moves on.
And the commissions and boards have political appointments, a death knoll in California.
Many chiefs won’t go public and criticize the people who hired him (commissions) or say anything about the hearing officers stupidity when a bad decision comes down.
But when a dismissal sticks on a bad guy, it is very satisfying and worth the work. Besides we owe it to the public and the good officers.
Thank you for your informed reply!
I know a lot about a very little. LOL
You’re very welcome. TC
Broward County should get rid of all of the “bad” cops and hire more guys like Scot Peterson.
Yeah... that’ll work!
Exterminate? Thats a bad word to use: exterminate! Get this guy. Watch out we dont exterminate you!
I hate these DemocRATS.
I’d be happy if they simply fired the bad cops.
This is part of the problem. A few bad cops are allowed to stay on because of inept management from the top, and BS like unions protecting the a**holes. In any organization, it only takes one or two a**holes to screw everything up.
Broward County, the anus of the great state of Florida.
We’re still waiting for the worst cop, Comey, to get his dues.
Can’t and won’t argue with you on that! LOL
From what I’ve observed, Broward County residents probably prefer Sharia law. I may be wrong but that’s where we’re headed with this crap.
