WATCH LIVE: Men charged in Ahmaud Arbery death face preliminary hearing
44:30 Just before this.
The first shot hit Arbery in the chest.
The investigator testified that they could see blood on Arbery’s chest after the first shot.
(Boy, some folks have been lying !)
The men made a bad choice.
I’m concerned the death penalty will cause them to be found not guilty. I see overcharging whites as manipulation to cause grievance in blacks.
And Bryan hit Arbury with his truck, and then Travis stood over the body shouting the N word.
It is not clear when they shouted Citizens Arrest!
The two incidents (Floyd and Arnery) are connected aren’t they? If one was not going to work, the other would.
Overcharged?
Based on the CBI testimony I am for the death penalty for ALL three !
Show trial. Nobody cares. It's all theater.
Sure they did. I imagine they will be declared to be the second gunman on the grassy knoll by the time the state is finished coercing confessions out of that hapless sap who videoed it.
Your prior talking points are now proven false.
You have a different understanding of the word "proven" than do I. When I say something is "proven", it means that there is good solid evidence supporting that claim.
You are relying on hearsay and fabricated evidence. You really expect us to believe they found a "swiped palm" print and "cotton fibers" on this guys trucks two or three months after the incident?
I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
No, they are not connected.
Well it is very clear as to when they finally call 911. Very late in the game.
Yes, this sounds bad as bad as many of us concluded early on. It was him racially motivated murdered by three racist neighborhood thugs. Justice will be served when they are convicted and executed.
So basically you are the only arbiter of truth and instead of having a normal trial, the state of Georgia should simply defer to your judgement, regardless of whatever evidence or testimony exists?
Usually when presented with new evidence, we change our opinions based on the new evidence. But you seem convinced that the state is simply manufacturing evidence in an effort to frame three “hapless” men for doing exactly what we saw them do on video and heard about in their own statement to police.
I completely agree things do not look good at this point in time, but I also know that at trial, evidence and testimony presented there can sometimes completely change our perception of a situation.
Going into his trial, George Zimmerman looked to me like he was probably guilty as sin. He clearly followed Martin, while armed, and Martin clearly died. Only at trial did we learn what the media had suppressed about Zimmerman only firing after he was put on his back with his head being repeatedly smashed into the concrete. Suddenly the outcome is very different and he appears less the aggressor and more a foolish man who had no other choice but to use deadly force to defend his life; admittedly because of the poor decisions he made leading up that point.
My point is just that while we see all this evidence right now pointing in one direction, we need to be willing to keep an open mind that there may yet still be facts we don’t know that could completely change how we perceive what took place.
This case is very different is that there is a video and at least one of the defendants is getting very talkative.
Yes. Murder one is deliberate, as opposed to just being stupid.
All I’m saying is that making it a death penalty case risks having it thrown out of court.
You sometimes have to choose a lesser charge to ensure a conviction, to which you can ask for the maximum penalty under the charge, rather than choose a higher charge and risk dismissal.
If so, you’re an ass.
Greg, Travis and Mr. Bryan will not get the death penalty, but they will go to prison for many years.
