Services honoring George Floyd, who died while being arrested in Minneapolis, will take place in three states over the course of six days.
A memorial service will be held in Minneapolis on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., family attorney Benjamin Crump said.
The Rev. Al Sharpton will deliver a eulogy at the memorial, which will take place at the Frank J. Lindquist Sanctuary at North Central University.
A public viewing and a private memorial service will be held in Raeford, North Carolina, on Saturday, Hubert Peterkin, the sheriff of Hoke County, said on Facebook.
The public viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters, followed by a private service for just the family at 3 p.m., Peterkin said. No protesting will be allowed.
Next Monday, a public memorial will take place from noon to 6 p.m. at The Fountain of Praise Church at 13950 Hillcroft Ave. in Houston, the Fort Bend Memorial Planning Center said in a statement.
And on Tuesday, a private service will be held at an undisclosed location, the statement said.

That said, why are they elevating this Floyd fella to martyr status. The guy just passed off a fake Jackson, had a criminal record that included a home invasion at gunpoint, multiple jail stints as well as Methamphetamine and Fentanyl in his system at the time of his death.
Not only that, he also had heart issues. They've rightfully charged the rogue cop...not sure the other cops should have been charged, but ok...so they are.
Now, seeing as Floyd had multiple drugs in his system at the time of death, had heart issues and one autopsy declared he did not die of asphyxiation....what are the chances this cop is going to be convicted of 2nd degree murder?
My read...the other 3 cops will skate and Chauvin will not be found guilty of 2nd degree murder, but rather voluntary manslaughter. The country will again erupt right in time for the election.
As usual the left makes every event into a melodramatic farce.
Don’t give them ideas. Thousands if years in the future an intrepid archaeologist will stumble upon a gold casket and find the resting place of Pharoah Floyd

I was actually in the car coming home from vacation,when my daughters showed me the video and all appalled.Yes we all spent a week in Florida and only came back with a sunburn!
I personally think now at this point it’s all about divide us against the police,etc.
This whole 2 weeks have been nothing more than politicizing and using this to show how evil we all are 24/7,that is if you believe in Law and Order and support the President.It’s beyond absurd! I’ve been off work for two months and I’m not rioting against they shut my job down or even told not see my family ...well I broke the rules and spent everyday with them. I wore no mask at all. I now believe it’s a big hoax! I’m not disputing deaths but it depends on who it really affected. This Floyd death chaos is brought on by the desperate left and will not stop. I understand his supporters are asking Biden and Democratic Governors to release all of the convicts that he spent time with during his many jail and prison stints.
They are also looking into booking a stadium big enough to hold them all.
