the authors of the book insist that the seed that is always present is the American spirit - which is a good thing for human freedom
however
what is frightening of the whole 4th turning notion is that it results in decisive victory for one side, and decisive defeat for the other side
since there is no geographic isolation of the two teams at war here (unlike the Am Rev, the Civil War, and WWII), then it’s hard to see how decisive victory for either side doesn’t involve near complete total destruction for lots of infrastructure, capital and people.....not to mention systems (written and unwritten), relationships and know-how
of course I am also working through Walking Dead (!) so no doubt my apocalyptic views here are magnified by that.
This “turning” has the reborn nation of Israel and the prophetic timelines associated with that nation. The next “turning” will find the world ruled by Jesus Christ out of the New Jerusalem and ruling with a rod of iron.
