LAS VEGAS (AP) - Three Nevada men with ties to a loose movement of right-wing extremists advocating the overthrow of the U.S. government have been arrested on terror charges in what authorities say was a conspiracy to spark violence during recent protests in Las Vegas.

Maybe they don’t want to give too many details until the story’s been spread, they don’t want it to be debunked or investigated for ‘the rest of the story’ too soon.
A plan to reopen businesses is not a plot to overthrow the government. Maybe an effort to defeat the rats in an election is now equated to insurrection.
It’s funny that these guys were arrested on the way there, before they could any damage.
Meanwhile, actual damage has been done by deployed Molotov cocktails but few arrests.

I knew it! I said it days ago, once the white supremacist angle lost steam, the FBI would arrest some patsies to bolster the narrative and keep it going! Now, the media has it’s ‘PROOF’. Just like Mueller issuing indictments to Russians, the media said that was proof of Russian collusion. Open and shut case, til the end of days, it will now forever be known that right-wing extremists were behind all the rioting and looting of 2020.

Just heard this about 25 minutes ago. Fox “News” radio was breathlessly reporting it at the bottom of the hour. The perps were described as right wing. I’ve never heard them use the phrase left wing.

Not that I agree with the law or anything. I think all firearms laws, and I mean ALL, are unconstitutional. I practiced a lot of federal criminal defense and ran across that one a lot. I always wanted to ask an appeals court “what exactly do think the definition of ‘shall not’ is?”
I remember back in the Clinton admin days the ATF and FBI swooped in and arrested 19 “militiamen” in Nevada, and charged them with conspiring to bomb a federal building. During the trial, a video was planned that showed one man repeatedly insisting that the group watch a videotape on how to bomb a building. This occurred over two or three meetings, each time the guy was voted down. At the last meeting after theh guy insisted that they watch it, the gave up and let him play the video for them, just to get him to shut up. Turned out the guy was a federal agent. The judged dismissed the charges against 18 of the men and convicted one on a minor weapons violation which resulted in a fine.
