James Mattis, the esteemed Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018 to protest Donald Trumps Syria policy, has, ever since, kept studiously silent about Trumps performance as president. But he has now broken his silence, writing an extraordinary broadside in which he denounces the president for dividing the nation, and accuses him of ordering the U.S. military to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens.
I have watched this weeks unfolding events, angry and appalled, Mattis writes. The words Equal Justice Under Law are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demandone that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our valuesour values as people and our values as a nation. He goes on, We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.

Yep
I was referring to his military career. He used to be held in the highest esteem of the enlisted troops, I’m not so certain that will be the case moving forward. What I’m talking about is important to people who’ve been in the military where your reputation and the respect you earn from the regular troops is paramount.
If every reference to POTUS Trump were replaced with Obama,I would agree with most of it.
Do they shut down at night or something? The demos are mostly peaceful during the daytime, followed by insurrectionist violence late at night, aided and abetted by passive, and even sympathetic politicos.
CNN: So sympathetic to the “struggle” that they would happily see their own headquarters in Atlanta burn to the ground, as long as the same happened to the Trump Admin.
What this incident is revealing is the utter corruption afflicting the US Military. It started when Clinton started his “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy - it fundamentally undermined the moral code that underlies the integrity of the military. No moral code, no integrity.
The entire General Staff and Admiralty of the services needs to be purged and re-staffed.
As for Mattis, I’d recall him to active duty to stand courts-martial for this blast against the President, especially if it develops that his words encourage active duty members to weaken in their resolve to respect the office of POTUS in the person of Donald Trump.
I’m not sure that will turn out well for him. Has he not studied the failed military coup in Moscow in 1991?
Chesty Puller would be turning over in his grave at the turn-coat Mattis.
” not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers.”
Okay Mad Dog is senile and is lashing out against President Trump who told him, “Good job James, now I’ll take your resignation.”
This is pure revenge.
This is the perfect example of where “legend” is unmasked by character.
So I guess Im the Meryl Streep of generals, and frankly that sounds pretty good to me,
Nuff said.
True indicator of where this tool’s allegiance lies.
Added something.
Indeed. Always makes me suspicious.
How did this idiot rise so high?
I am praying.
Every time a black man got killed by a cop during Obama’s reign, he went on National tv to announce it was racism without even waiting to see the investigation. He demonized cops the whole 8 years.
What this incident is revealing is the utter corruption afflicting the US Military.
I think it is also indicative of the lack of support POTUS has on his flanks from his own party. The military brass would never be sticking knives in POTUS like this if they feared a keel hauling by GOP in Congress.
Sadly, the GOP signalled in 2017 that they did not support POTUS against the coup. Since then the DOD has been a hot bed of undermining the CIC and flat out coupist activity like Vindman.
Yep. A lot of regular troops serve Trump quite willingly. Perhaps Mattis should also go over once more what happened to Nicolae Ceaucescu when everybody got so fed up with him that even the regular military turned on him. He was caught attempting to flee the country, then executed by lottery: that is, regular citizens were afforded drawings in which the winners got to shoot Nicolae and his wife to death.
Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to slander anybody you meet”
“Map Dog” possibly a closet poofter, was one of the biggest disappointments in the Trump Administration.
Sore loser.
Listening to Mark Levin.. He is on a station break right now, but.. Tune in.. He is on FIRE!!!
God bless you Mark!!
