Lindsey Graham invites Mr Rosenstein to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary.
Great end there. Best exchange of the hearing. The news that Mueller/Weissman wrote there own scope memos is hugely damning and they know it. Hanoi Dick makes a “no news” charge, Graham disproves it mentioning that, Rubberstampstein tries to mitigate the damage and then Graham smacks him with the Love Birds. LOL.
I think they walled off Sessions. Sessions was more worried about what the media and his “colleagues” across the aisle said about him.
They told him he was conflicted because he met with the Russian Ambassador in a public setting. Let that sink in.... pretty much every Senator talking today had met the guy in a public setting.
It was part of the scheme within DOJ. They had to remove Flynn and sideline Sessions to push the coup attempt. Who was at the top of it all?
The man appearing before them today was the top of the pyramid and this is his punishment.
Its too bad that they dont have a copy of the press release from the National Park Police explaining exactly what they did that night. 51 park policemen hurt. 3 admitted to hospital, etc. Republicans need someone who is informed, like Dan Bongino, as an advisor for the Republicans. That would be IF this wasnt just cover-up theater.
So have they perp walked him yet?
I caught a few minutes of it. RR kept saying he was accountable when asked if he was responsible. I didn’t hear what he or anyone considered the difference.
Also, when he said accountable he would try to move the goal posts to “making sure it didn’t happen again.” As if whoever might be blamed, wasn’t important now — only prevention. If I’m ever accused of anything, I’m going to try that ploy.
Agreed. I’m in the affluent suburbs in the Northeast, and I would say fewer than 1 in 10 women here have a clue.
That is why this country is in the predicament it is in, the average American is oblivious to what is happening.
What I got from watching the last 30 minutes was that, if you can take him at his word(?), RR was just an incompetent boob in his job.
He allowed the Mueller team to write their own scope.
Solid supervision there folks........ solid.
Anyone who has ever worked for a boss who takes credit for everything good and blames everyone else for everything bad knows what this is today.......
Pretty much a dud. The fix is in with the GOP senate folks. They did not ask the most important questions.
There are so many hard questions that were not asked I don’t know where to begin. This was more like a “coffee clink” than a genuine hearing to drill down on what happened.
Waste of time minus the one nugget you pointed out.
Rosenstein took full responsibility. Said as acting AG, he was accountable. At the same time, he was not at fault or culpable of anything, because he trusted the system, which unfortunately failed. Oh, well....
Yep.
You’re right. Tucker brought this out the other night. Throughout that whole period, we controlled the House and the Senate, and no one stepped up to shut things down, in fact I clearly recall everyone in the GOP talking up Mueller, and Graham saying there would be hell to pay if Sessions was fired. He had several never Trumpers that jumped ship on him.
Trump weathered thru this, no doubt by his own instincts but I bet he had people like Newt and others helping behind the scenes.
Disgusting, check, Lie, check, yep approved for media distribution
Why are you watching this on Fox? There's a youtube channel available and also C-SPAN, both without interruptions, talking heads talking over the participants, etc.
old news reel implicates the weasel, again.
Peas in the same genepool pod.
Thank you for the YouTube link. Once again, stupid Fox cut into the hearing for their commentary. They do this all the time like we cant figure out whats being said, we need them to interpret for us?
It’s not an accident Rubberstampstein was the first witness and not the last. Now he won’t have to answer any questions regarding any testimony given to that commitee.
