Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster. I am a resident of Fishtown in the Riverward of Philadelphia. Have lived and owned restaurants here for 20 years.Everything that is being printed about the so called vigilantes is total garbage. There was no violence just a lot of yelling. The original fishtowners were out in force with baseball bats to protect our neighborhood and the new millenial soy boy home owners just couldn’t deal. Also the cops did a fantastic amazing job keeping the peace. Last night we had more protesting driving down Girard Avenue screaming at us through a bullhorn that we are racists and the BLM. It was pure unadulterated hate speech. And you know what we did? We laughed at them and then went home. We have a clean, lovely neighborhood of beautiful homes and family businesses and we will not allow any scum, black, white, blue, or pink to destroy it. Do not believe anything being said or written about us, please!! And for the record, once this shit is over I’m getting the hell out of Philly as fast as I can.
