War memorials, especially Civil War monuments are being specifically targeted.

it looks like the crayon scribblings of a two-year-old.

Welcome to public high school education in Boston

Glory might be the best film about the Civil War ever.

It portrayed quite accurately and unabashedly the REAL situation in the Union. How blacks were looked down upon by many whites, including those of the Union army. The animosity that existed among the blacks themselves. And then that final scene as the 54th attempts to take Fort Wagner.

There is no such thing as a perfect motion picture but Glory is certainly in the running.

The ignorance of those who vandalized this monument is beyond pale.

These “mostly peaceful” “demonstrations” are a mere cover for the rioters, looters, and arsonists. They are meant to tie down and distract law enforcement assets so that the rioters can move more freely throughout the cities.

These Morons would need to be able to read and understand basic history to understand. They just saw “civil” war and automatically thought it was about “Shaw the slaveholder”.

If this does t point out what is wrong with the US these days, nothing will.

Quite an amazing film. Freddie Francis' cinematography and James Horner's moving score really contributed to the over all effect. I agree that it is close to flawless.

You speak truth—I escaped from Hyde Park to the nearby suburbs in 1965—the beginning of the racial controversies there—had I not moved 8 miles away, my life would have been destroyed in the maelstrom that was forced busing and the endless shenanigans of the city. I am grateful for that escape every day.

Ignorant little savages. I guess they didn’t like the fact the Fredrick Douglas was a Republican who supported Lincoln and giving black men the chance as Americans to fight for their freedom.

You should visit DC. My wife and I have many times. You owe it to yourself to see the World War 2 Memorial. It’s beautiful.
